"Very good with beautiful reef"

8.0

First of all a beautiful reef in front of, both sides. And very nice staff. Good standard, good food. AC. Wifi. Nice garden and nice beach (during the low sea leavel).

Big noise of machines during the night in one part of the resort with cheaper rooms. No sunbeds. Big problem with boats. Divers complained a lot. Bathroom could be better.

"Friendly and helpful staff. Great location for snorkelling. Large room."

8.0

Large bedroom queen size bed. Large bathroom. Wonderful location for snorkelling at the pontoon. Beautiful beach.

Water was sometimes not available. Food was just enough and average quality. Better maintenance would be appreciated.

"Nice resort with good food but rather poor diving organization"

7.0

Great food, especially Ram was very pleasant and always helpful Great beach and superb house reef and corals

Poor organization of diving (being a dive center it is one of the reasons we went there). The second dive master (we were diving with for several days) spoke very little English and dives missed the proffesionality and quality standards. The diving equipment was good and new

"A hidden paradise for nature lovers and divers"

10.0

We spent over a week at Amoryg and had an unforgettable experience. What we loved the most: - The stunning, secluded location at the far end of Pulau Mansuar, offering a true escape from everyday life. - The incredible coral reefs just steps away from the lovely beach — perfect for snorkeling enthusiasts (sometimes stronger current but perfect for drifts) - The exceptionally kind and helpful staff, always ready to listen to any wishes or feedback and ensure a great stay. - Delicious food that catered to individual preferences, including vegetarian options, which was a real plus. - The fantastic diving experience with Vandy, an experienced, knowledgeable, and attentive dive guide, and his great team. - It was inspiring to see a place like this owned and managed by locals, creating a unique and authentic atmosphere. This is an ideal spot for travelers looking for a family-like, locally-run experience. Flexibility and understanding are key, as local conditions such as weather, fuel supplies, or occasional generator issues can arise. It's also important to note that the desalination plant might not fully meet water demands at all times, but rainwater is available upon request. For us, this was the perfect getaway, and we would absolutely love to return one day. Highly recommended!

"Relaxing beactime, good snorkling"

8.0

Peaceful and quiet. Beutiful own beach with white sand, were you can snorkel, there is house reef were you can see turtles and small reef sharks. Food was good. Own ensuite in room, perfect. Starlink connection was good, but during daytime it didn’t work. Beautiful sunset from the pier. Dive guide Kris was amazing!

Manager Hain didn’t know how to organise scuba divings. There was not enough scuba gears. No 3 dives per day - only 2. Ex manager’s phone number was connection number in booking.com, Hain couldn’t change that. Still Hain was very kind. The rooms were great, but if you wanna scuba dive in this resort, you might wanna go somewhere else. In Raja Ampat overall, there is no electricity during daytime. No beer in here, but that can be arranged from near island Arborek. Tellkomsel doesn’t work.

"Nice place to stay in Raja Ampat"

7.0

Stunning beachfront paradise like. Excellent place for snorkeling (turtle, shark, dugong, clown fish, angel fish…) You can see the birds flying close (hornbills, cockatoo, parrots, doves…) Isolated “resort”. Very quiet. Ideal place for relaxing. The staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. Everyone does the best to meet guests expectations. Very pleasant stay overall. Better than staying at a homestay (hut over the sea or on the beach). Please keep in mind that this is a remote region and hospitality standards haven’t still been established here as we know them in most places. Special thanks to Ramdane (staff) for his quality service.

The rooms look much better in the Booking photos. The price is exaggerated for the conditions of the room. No washbasin in the toilet in our room unlike most of the photos. The toilet door handle was completely covered in rust, water leak in the bathroom, wall cracks, smashed bugs on the wall….We had no hot water during most of our stay. There is a lot of space to improve and create an exceptional resort here. Be prepared for simple meals and to eat rice at each meal, according to our experience. This was not a problem for us. We could see the quality of the meals improving during our stay. There are no cold drinks and by this I mean water as well. It’s a very simple life at Amoryg so come with your spirit open.

We spent 9 days here and really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic and the reef right in front of the resort in perfect condition. The rooms (we stayed in the larger ones right on the beach) were clean and surprisingly spacious. The food that came out of the kitchen was always tasty and they have no problem accommodating vegetarians. You usually get your vegetarian option separately and can skip the queue :) The chef is the soul of the team we felt. Diving with Chris and Miguel was also a delight. They were always ready with a smile and you can tell that they enjoy their work. It is not the most professionally run dive shop but they make sure that you get the most out of your dive. At no point did we feel unsafe.

However it pains me I would be remiss not to mention that the organisation and logistics need to be improved. Hein, the manager, is really trying to make everything work out and is not afraid to work on a broken down generator till 2AM but organising transfers to and from the resort, day trips and the dives sometimes seemed to be a bit overwhelming him. He always tried though. Don't come here if you a expect a 5star dive resort, but lf you want to a small slice of paradise with a kind and caring atmosphere this is the place for you. Would come again!
