Amoryg Resort and Dive Raja Ampat

Beautiful place, and beach (with current), bungalows with AC (would need a clean up every day with all the sand or at least a broom we can use). WiFi worked well. Good and nice cheffe (Indonesian food) and very nice employee (Kevin/Keflin). We were lucky to have the cook and the young man around.

Shower is salt water, surprising for a 90.-€/night bungalow + it isn’t written anywhere (same for electricity schedule). Employees take care of the garden and keeps it pretty but seems like no one picks up the garbage washed up by the waves on the beach. Rude “manager”/“taxi boat, not smiling - except when it’s time to pay, disorganized and gives random prices for taxi boat rates. Disappointing to have to negotiate with your host about a taxi ride.

We had a great time at the Amoryg Resort. The reef in front of the jetty is amazing for snorkeling (sharks, turtles, rays and coral). We enjoyed very good food during the four days and the staff was super friendly and welcoming!

Staff was super helpful. The private beach and the jetty are the best. Just snorkeling at the jetty is top notch. Standard Rooms are quite good and have AC and private bathroom with shower. The boat is one of the best around the island. Big and safe. Starlink wi-fi 24h. The dining room is a very nice place to be and relax. Food variety, quality and quantity was the best we had in Raja Ampat. We didn't dive but did a snorkel tour with them

Standard rooms don't have a sink, just a tap. Water is salty (as mostly in the Raja Ampat)

Dive center with brand new equipment and very good staff. Very close to Manta Sandy and Arborek. Food is fantastic!! Highly recommended for a few days snorkeling and or diving in paradise.

Beautiful white sandy beach. Snorkelling was vg right off the beach, however you had to wait for there to be no currents. Room was good. Comfy bed. We stayed 5 nights. Very relaxing. As snorklers they arranged daily or twice daily trips, 700000 per couple, per trip. Staff friendly and helpful. Snorkelling guides accompanied us on boat trips. They went out of their way to arrange a trip to Paiynemo for us. Snorkelling with the manta was a highlight. The nearby village jetty snorkel was fab. Saw 6 turtles there and abundant fish. Food was all inclusive and the cook provided rice , 2 protein dishes and veges for lunch and dinner folliwed by fruit. Breakfast eggs, sausages, toast fruit. Bring snacks. Solar powered Star link wifi available all day and night in the communal area, also emergency charging. The generator came on around 6pm until 7am. Air con in room Rustic but perfect, just what we wanted.

Salty shower when trying to wash off sea water, but can't be helped as no fresh water. I am curious as to why rainwater isnt collected from the roof via spouting? Room is not serviced which suited us, we grabbed a broom as the floor got sandy. It wouldve been nice to have fresh towels dropped outside our door on day 3.

The bed was big and we had access to Internet which was good. Tea and coffee & water always available. Location very beautiful for snorkelling, they arrange good trips apparently - we did not attend any as they were very expensive, but snorkelling on the beach near the resort was beautiful! All food was included in the price, was rice everyday with meat or fish curry and some kind of vegetables, pleasant enough Lady that ran the place spoke good English and was very polite

There were not many areas to relax and hang out. This is geared up just to be a base for those going out diving every day, not somewhere especially comfortable to relax. So, if you're not diving, I wouldn't really recommend this one. Prices for excursions were very high and boat transportation was very expensive. Electric seemed to come on and off at weird times. Aircon was nice. However, it didn't seem to work very well and was round the corner from the bed, so it didn't reach us very well. The room was very run down with lots of paint missing on the walls and lots of marks all over it, part of the door fell off when we closed it! Photos & prices make it sound a lot more luxurious than it is, I'd save my money next time and just stay in one of the other affordable homestays for longer next time. Communication was not good - we requested a boat to get us back to waisai for the 9am ferry, paid 1 million IDR, and then we missed the ferry by 10 minutes! So then, we had to wait in waisai for 5 hours in the port until the 2pm ferry... very unpleasant when it's so hot!

Remote and beautiful island paradise, friendly staff, with amazing cooks, very good diving outlet, unforgettable jetty, lovely little house reef.... We will never forget this place.

No power during the day, which means no Aircon, which means the rooms get quite hot, the wooden furniture on the room terrace tend to get a little uncomfortable after a while, some sunbeds maybe under a pergola would be great, the rooms are spacious but could use a little more attention for details.

This is a great place to stay with wonderful staff and an excellent dive team. We had a great week. Thank you David and Vanny for making our stay do good. The food was wonderful too

It would be great if there was somewhere to relax IE a beach bed or hammock.

The whole positive experience was based on the personal efforts from David, who relentessly tried to make our diving experience outstanding and Embo who made with her care and excellent cooking our picknicks and meals enjoyable. Special Kudos for the glutenfree treatment 🙏🏻 David and Embo you are the superstars of Amoryg!

Many of the commitments and agreements with the local management didn‘t work out. The starlink internet was not working all day as the seperate power supply is not working. There is no easy way into the water.
