The guest house is located right on the beach. You wake up and go to sleep with the audible sound of the waves crashing upon the beach. The place is ran by a mother & son team which take good care of the property and are very responsive and friendly. Oh, and they speak both English and Spanish.

The only down side with the location is that Zicatela Beach itself isn't swimmable, with the closest swimmable beach being a 20 min walk away. However, if you surf, the location goes from great to magical due to the wonderful waves just outside your door.

WiFi isn't great

The location was great, right in front of the sea, away from the backpackers' nest. 15 min walk to the centre of town and lots of restaurants along the way. The terrace with a hammock was definitely the best part of the stay. A big plus was availability of drinkable water for guests. Roberto was very nice and helpful.

Lack of locks for the rooms (only for the terrace which was accessible from other rooms). The kitchenette area was not very clean, and there were no hooks for towels in the bathroom (neither a place to dry towels on the terrace). Minor maintenance works and some extra furniture in the bedroom (desk, chair) could really upgrade this place.

Very big nice room! Love relaxing in the hammock on the balcony watching the waves! Staff very helpful with recommendations.

The kitchen isn’t very well equipped for 2 people

The guest house is well-located on Zipolite Beach between Puerto Escondido and Zapolita Brisas. If you want a quieter, laid back place to stay, this is it. Robert is a great host. He's accessible, friendly, and accessible. The room was fantastic; it had a large terrace with a great view of the ocean. The bed was comfortable and there was AC.

First impressions weren't great. It was difficult to locate the beach house because there's no sign. Tip: It is located on street west of Hotel Blater. Head up Calle Rosas and it's at the end of the right-hand side. The downstairs is rough around the edges, but the rooms make up for it.

Excellent location to enjoy the beauty of Puerto. Roberto will do everything he can to make your stay comfortable. Don’t miss the sunset from the palapa.

It was hot and I had issues with the AC, but Roberto provided a fan.
