"Lovely little cottage"

8.0

Good location, close to the shops and the Abbey. Having a dedicated park space in the car park was good due to the lack of parking in Malmesbury. House was warm and cozy. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Hot water could have done with getting increased as struggled to wash dishes and Husband to shave as was luke warm. There was no microwave that we could find. Inside of cooker was dirty/greasy and gap between cooker and worktop had crumbs and bits between it.

"Lovely location just needs a bit of maintenance"

6.0

The location is great. I have stayed here before and came back as it was a lovely flat but at the moment it needs a bit of love.

The water temperature in the shower was really hot and couldn’t change. The bathroom tap was dripping and the toilet seat was broken. In the kitchen the pots, pans and kettle was really dirty.

"Cut my trip short because it was unclean"

1.0

Quiet location

Unclean. Hair everywhere. Full bins. Bags full of rubbish. Stained furniture. Smashed glass. No heating on arrival. Dripping tap.

"Quaint cottage"

8.0

Lovely cottage in a lovely location great for access to the Cotswold bath and bristol

A little hard to find initially the sign is quite small on the cottage and the road gets quite busy you can park at the top of the street leaving enough room for vehicles to pass and the cottage is the second on the right at the turn onto west street

"Very Good"

7.0

The cottage is in a great location. Easy walking to the shops and pubs. Lovely. Cosy cottage very comfy bed. Lovely and warm Easy check-in

The cottage needs some TLC. Looking very tired. With paint dripped onto beams making it look untidy. It needs a really good clean. Dirty shower cubicle. Cobwebs. All over. Toilet paper put in holes unsure why. Cups dirty. Oven dirty. Broken blind in the lounge No welcome book. We only had two days so we just used it as a base. But if you were there longer a welcome book would be needed

"Cosy quiet cottage right in the centre of town"

8.0

Such a cute historic cottage right in the centre of the old town a five minute walk to the Abbey. Perfect for what we needed and the owners answered our questions swiftly. Great to have a fresh parking space. Good pub around the corner.

Could have used an extra saucepan!

"Excellent. We loved everything about Malmesbury."

8.0

The property was in an excellent position to explore the central business district with just a short 10 min walk to The Old Bell Hotel, the Abbey, shops & eateries.

Nothing negative to report, other than poor lighting & a dripping faucet.

"Beautiful, cosy cottage close to the centre of Malmesbury"

8.0

Lovely cottage in the centre of Malmesbury with beautiful features - exposed beams and brickwork which is beautiful really amplified the Cotswold charm! It’s warm and cosy with plenty of towels provided and is a short walk to the local pub and shop. The water pressure in the shower is really good too, not to mention the spacious bath! The hosts provided shower gel/shampoo/ conditioner too which was a nice touch in case of absent mindedness. There is WiFi in the property which is fortunate because there was limited signal in the living room due to this being slightly below ground level. The property also included parking which was free and a short walk away. Overall, fantastic value for money, plenty of space and a cosy little sanctuary to spend the night after touring the Cotswolds!

There is no freezer or microwave. Whilst these facilities aren’t advertised on the listing, it does describe the kitchen as “fully equipped”. For me this was fine as I only stayed for 2 nights however could be an issue if you’re staying for a week! The bed in the bottom bedroom was very creaky and I think a few of the slats underneath the mattress were broken so this could do with being looked at. As there was only me occupying the bed and I’m a still sleeper, it didn’t impede a good nights sleep but had there been two sharing the bed, this could’ve proved to be an issue. Whilst the property does offer free parking only a 5 minute walk away, this is up/down quite a steep hill so it could be tricky for the less mobile or for those moving a lot of luggage.
