An absolute gem in a stunning village!! Everything you can want and need and more!!

A few cobwebs around and bits of old food under sofa, but other than that it was very clean. Nothing to put us off our stay

The location is great, and the cottage is very cosy. We had everything there that a family might need, the kitchen was well equipped

The property was a bit difficult to find. The cottage name sign is tiny, and the photos on Booking showed a different cottage further up the street. The allocated parking was a bit far away

Great location, couple of mins walk from the abbey and high street. Beds are comfy. House was warm, heating kicks in really quickly.

It was a shame that the cutlery, crockery, pots and pans were all dirty. You have to wash everything before you use it. Dried food on forks and plates, tea/coffee stains caked on the mugs. I’m sure it wouldn’t bother everyone, but I had to clean everything first before I cooked/ate. Bring your own soaps. Would be a nice touch to have some shower gel in the bathroom. We got there quite late and wanted a shower. Maybe we wrongly assumed that this would be provided but we couldn’t make it out to the shop in time to get anything to wash ourselves with. I’d suggest you only take one car. As you are in the town centre, we didn’t expect lots of parking other than the one space that comes with the property (in a communal car park a couple of roads away) but it was a struggle to find parking for the second car.

It is an absolutely beautiful cottage. Lovely presentation and a great place to stay. It gives a really warm feeling and it pretty had everything you could need. Great little stay!!

Provision of cutlery, glasses etc. Just enough. Couldn't move the blind in the sitting room - broken. No bedside light in top bedroom. Steps very steep and no hand rail. Would be very anxious for children - this should be emphasised in description

Nice quiet location

Host's attachment showing allocated parking location couldn't be downloaded from Booking.com website. Message to host to email it to us not responded to. Fortunately it was obvious from Google Street View although a good 5 minutes walk from the property. TV didn't work until we realised the aerial wasn't plugged into the back of it. Likewise DVD. DVD remote probable needed new batteries too.

It was unfortunate that previous occupants kept the key so there was no key in safe. It was only inconvenient for a short while because owners managed to contact cleaner who came and sorted it out. The kitchen had a broken blind and needed a few more saucepans etc for cooking. The mirror in the main bedroom had a child’s hand and foot prints on it.
