"Lovely warm and cosy stay for young family"

7.0

The location was great and the cottage was modern throughout with everything you need for a short stay (utensils, crockery, plenty of towels and linen). The cottage was warm and cosy and benefits from black out blinds. The road outside was quiet and we found it to be quiet and private. There was a travel cot stored in the cottage which was very convenient. There was tea bags and plenty of mugs which was a lovely touch! The allocated parking was a short walk and very convenient. The check in and out was seamless.

The stairs were not very toddler friendly I would not recommend for very small children that are not confident with stairs. We spent very little time in the cottage so this wasn't an issue for us but a consideration for some. There were areas that were dusty and that were not cleaned between guests (under coffee table, lampshades) however, the bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen were very clean which mattered most to us. The pillows could do with a refresh as some were a little lumpy so maybe bring your own if picky! Other than that I would really recommend this cottage.

Lovely cottage, beautiful bathroom, great location and handy parking.

No extra blankets available at a cold time of year. No welcome pack to show how to use certain facilities. Top bedroom tricky to negotiate with beams and open staircase.

"Nice little quiet stay"

8.0

Location was great close to town House overall was clean Bed was comfy House was warm Was in a quite area Tea coffee sugar was there There was even shampoo n condition

There are a few things that need a little attention to make it 5* The information pack needs updating as some stuff from 2022. With shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap, grab some refill bottles make it look more expensive. Need new towels Shower head in bath don't work. Need to tell cleaners to dust beams as cobwebs, use some stronger stuff on lime scale on taps,Kettle needs descaling and sofa Needs a clean.

"Ideal location, beautiful views and everything you need for a few nights stay."

7.0

Beautiful location within a 5 minute walk from the main town. The property has everything you need on a quiet, quaint street.

The mattress was very uncomfortable and hard (this is personal preference). If you prefer a softer mattress, then you probably won’t sleep well. The place feels quite dated and needs a lick of paint/sofa needs a clean due to stains.

"It suited our purpose and was value for money"

7.0

It suited our purpose and was cosy anad warm.

It was very difficult to find the property in the dark. If there is not a number for the front door, then the very small plaque should be much larger and if it has to be brass, then try cleaning it. The top bedroom was very restricted and a potential serious hazard when going downstairs for loo in the middle of the night. Why couldn't you put in 2 single beds with a gap down the middle instead of guests having to squeeze round beams. Also, there was nowhere to put clothes - no chair and no hook to hang things on. I had to lay my clothes out on the floor. Simple enough to rectify this and don't know why it hasn't been thought out. Finally, we never could find the parking space (once again in the dark) and we could not make out if the speace in that close were marked.

"A brilliant little cottage within walking distance of the town centre."

9.0

Location was brilliant. Yes parking is a short walk, but we parked 25m further up the road to unload and then parked. Most of the locals do this. A warm cottage was ideal as a vet wet weekend with Storm Bert. Small but ideal kitchen with all we needed. TV with Netflix. Beds were really comfy. Plenty of pillows. Slightly dark in the top bedroom but bathroom light was great for makeup and a dull length mirror in the other bedroom. And limited storage, but large closet in the main bedroom. Pun around the corner which was really friendly. Lovely card and gifts for my mum as I'd mentioned it was her 80th. I was concerned about the cottage as read the reviews, but it was all fine, clean, tidy.

"Good"

The kitchen was well equipped. Very good shower and nice to have a bath. Great location.

The mattress was very uncomfortable. The environment was a little tired. The towels need replacing as we're so rough. It would be good to recycle and to have facilities.
