Sea Glass Cottage

We have stayed before on a couple of occasions & in principal it provides the facilities we want, but it seems that the property isn't being maintained to its original standard, which is a shame. A little more effort, TLC & attention to details would make a world of difference.

Some of the cleaning around the house could be improved (kitchen shelves & hob greasy, draining rack soiled, shower curtain had black mould on bottom hem, black mould on bathroom window, dust & cobwebs to side & behind toilet). No towel rail, bathmat or bin (for 'other products') in bathroom; some of kitchen equipment looking dated (stained cutlery & mugs, frying pan with damage to teflon coating (indents in the base as if used to hit something?), tea towels looking grey. On our arrival we found the bed was badly made as it looked like someone had already been sleeping in it. On departure, we found the dustbins full to overflowing so hadn't been emptied for a considerable period & the bucket for the floor mop had water with what appeared to be dead maggots in it.

Had everything you needed for a short stay.

Smell musty. Rear step high to outside bins Bins overflowing Loose brass colored strip on doorstep.

Lovely village location,,very nice restaurant nearby. Would stay here again if updated.

In need of lots of TLC but read that in the reviews from earlier on in the year so no change there, lovely place that could be made better, the strong smell of weed from next door was uninvited.

Decent kitchen with all you need

Not clean, walls, floors, doors radiators grimy. Stained cushions and make up on pillowcase. Bizarre purple bottom sheet. Smelly hard towels

it has a bath. the bedding and towels were clean and smelt fresh. Such a shame as the property has potential to be lovely. Wondered why it’s called Seaglass cottage - if it’s to lure in gullible people like me then it worked ! We went to the area to collect seaglass.

it was absolutely FILTHY - anyone who thinks this house is clean must be blind. it smelt badly of damp. I dread to think what you’d find under the laminate flooring! whatever the small was made me almost vomit. everything was dirty. I didn’t want to eat or drink anything in the properly as it felt dirty. bathroom taps disgraceful - sink drainer filthy with a smelly dirty cloth on it. no pegs - not enough hangers - flooring ripped -fridge / kitchen drawers dirty - horrible stain on bedroom carpet and huge black damp patch on wall next to the bed. just everything felt sticky and dirty. We tried to find somewhere else but everything was booked up. We bought a plug in air freshener and left front and back doors open as much as possible which helped.

Good location & excellent value for money. A very lucky find 👍

Although property was comfortable & clean,it could do with a bit of TLC.
