The Welsh Gatehouse is a dog friendly property that welcomes up to 3 well behaved dogs (that will not chew and will not toilet inside). We've a fully enclosed garden. If you are bringing a well behaved dog with you there is a £30 supplement, (£50 for 2 dogs, £70 for 3 dogs). There is a £300 Good Housekeeping Deposit to pay if you are bringing a dog(s). We will be sending you a form to fill in, which tells us about your dog(s). These additional payments for the dog(s) will be requested outside booking.comThis property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. "Unique place!"

Absolutely everything! Location - so peaceful. Literally pitch black outside. Amazing place - so unique. Inside had everything you could need from a fully stocked kitchen, log burner, TV, washing machine etc We arrived to find a lovely welcome basket with wine, chocolate, bread, milk, butter, jam, Welsh cakes. Such a lovely touch.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

"A perfect country getaway for couples"

Very easy to get to, but still a quiet luxury country break. Juliet kept in touch and left us a wonderful selection of local provisions to get us started. The place was romantically furnished.

Not a place for those who don't do stairs, but we got used to the number of steps up the tower.

Age of property and the history

The wet room need refurbishing and towels had holes in, giant spiders, sleeping area really impractical.

Fantastisch en romantische locatie op steenwotp afstand van Bristol, Cardiff en Vale leuke bezienswaardigheden in South Wales. Ook Cotswolds makkelijk te bereiken. Vanaf het boeken prettig online contact. Top uitzicht vanaf de toren op het kasteel en omliggende omgeving.

Men is er duidelijk over. Voor ons geen tegenvallers maar je moet wel goed ter been zijn om de trap te beklimmen. Dit is ook de charme van dit eeuwen oude gebouw.
