Spacious and amazing 4 bedroom detached house

Lack of hand towels, tea towels and wine glasses, very noisy hot water pump that woke everyone when you put the water on, cable to pump went under a rug on the balcony. . Dirty carpets smell of cigarette smoke in the ensuite despite the fact that I was emailed advising not to wear shoes upstairs and not to smoke in the property. Overall basic and shabby property cleaned to a very poor standard. . Key code was not sent an hour before check in as promised. After check in time I tried to contact the property but got no response so contacted booking.com who also tried to contact without success. Had to wait further 30 minutes to see if property contacted me which they then did, received no apology or explanation, all he was concerned about was me ringing booking.com to let them know he had contacted me, just concerned about his own back. Would definitely not recommend this property, they have multiple properties and have obviously let standards slip.

The location, beautiful house

There is a lot of things that needs updating in the house. When using the hot water tap there was a noise/sound coming out . The house needs thorough cleaning including the windows.

the bed sheets need either burning or a proper wash on all beds the sheets did not smell or feel fresh a few snags need sorting in the property to get it to a better standard

The location was good for us as we wanted to be closer to family. The space in the house was also appreciated

It was dirty. On arrival, I had to vacuum and mop the downstairs floor. The shower and bathroom were filthy, I had to use bleach. The water did not drain from the ensuite shower and downstairs sink. The windows in the kitchhen, the counter top, utensils and crockery were dirty. There were no tea towels or hand cloths. The oven extractor was filthy. The carpets upstairs had not been vacuumed and the upholstery on the lounge needed cleaning. There was no clothes rack to dry washing, too few hooks in the bathroom to hang towels, and one bedroom lacked a cupboard or hangers, the light bulb did not work in one room. It was below expectations and not worth the price. Also, I should have been given a reduction in price as there were only 5 people staying instead of 8. The main bedroom stank because the ensuite shower had dirt all round the shower door and the air fresheners in the room do not mask it. Also, the property owner had the audacity to ask paying guests to provide access to services while the house was in occupation! Stay at this house only if you have no other choice, and don't pay full price.

Excellent all round. Large property in a quiet area. Easy access to etihad stadium, Coop live arena and the city centre. I'll be returning again. Thank you

Parking facilities good...able to accommodate 3 cars. Clean overall. Responded promptly to questions asked. Bedrooms a good size .

Kitchen facilities not equipped for 8 people...only 4 mismatched glasses. Not enough seating in living area. Pool of water from washing machine leaking... laundry still in washing machine. Fridge in utility room smelt badly. No information in house e.g: wi fi details, local information, how to operate shower pump in main bathroom Charity company turned up before 8 am morning after we arrived with list of contents to remove from house -company claimed also had confirmation of this from the previous evening . Requested not to go upstairs with shoes on which we adhered to , but carpets upstairs heavily stained and marked. Couldn't stack dishwasher properly due to broken plate racks. Extension lead covered under rugs on landing leading to pump in airing cupboard. Unusable garden furniture. Suitcase in garden with mouldy towels in.
