Beautiful country cottage and lovely facilities

Garden was very over grown and didnt look like picture

Great location in the village centre near the lovely mill and pub. Good facilities. Nice garden. Bathroom downstairs as you’d expect for an old cottage. Ample seating provided. Lovely kitchen. Nice bathroom. Sitting room not very cosy with vinyl flooring though I presume it is easier to keep clean with a holiday cottage. There is a fire we didn’t use. Bed in front room would benefit from a better mattress. The cottage has plenty of character.

The lounge and bedrooms were old and slightly quirky but very comfy and the bathroom & kitchen slightly more modern and nicely furnished/equipped. There were lots of handy information leaflets from the hosts with instructions where needed. The water pressure was superb with almost instant hot water and an awesome shower. The hosts were very generous in that everything was provided, e.g. Tea, coffee, sugar, toilet rolls, hand wash & much more. It was a bonus being able to take the dog and the garden was lovely and secure so we didn't have to worry about him. There was an amazing dog walk straight out of the front door through fields and along the river and lots more beautiful walks close by. We will definitely be looking to stay again.

I wasn't expecting the road through the village to be so busy. We arrived on a Saturday and there was a lot of traffic for such a beautiful little village, however, Sunday was much quieter.

Fabulous location, cute cottage and lots of really helpful guidance/instructions about the property and location. Also great communication. Great welcome and food at the king’s arms - two min walk. Lovely cafe, craft shop, artisan bakery and farm shop at historically important Otterton mill - lass than two minute walk.

Tiny, tiny feedback. Intended to help. The outside window ledge was dirty which is a shame for first impressions.

Comfy, clean & close to farm shop and pub and river walks.
