Wilson Cottage Dartmoor

Clean and spacious - Self catering - entertained 'the kids' on evening one. Everything required was available (but they had to bring an extra dinner plate). dined out thereafter plenty good pub/restaurants nearby. Car parking right outside the door 😁essential for Dartmoor rain (see photo😁) Nice rural location - excellent local pub restaurant 1/2 mile.

Glad we never met anything coming the other way on the single track access road 🤔

Everything. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous and the view is stunning. A home from home.

The only tiny minor thing that would have been a bonus was if there'd been some tea, coffee and sugar in the cannisters. We did actually remember to bring some but if we'd forgotten it would have been a blessing as we arrived very late due to dreadful traffic.

We could not find any information on the heating system. It was chilly in the bathroom first thing but the towel rail did not work.

very convenient location for exploring Dartmoor and the surrounding areas. The cottage and the garden area was a very peaceful place to stay

Peaceful location, with good views (when the mist clears!) Great food experience at owner's pub, the Bearslake Inn (with cottage-renters' discount). Really comfortable bed. Information leaflets, maps, etc. in cottage were useful. Good range of DVDs available to watch.

A bit too far from local pub/shops - wouldn't be a nice walk along a major A road. An oddly-undersized toilet seat that wouldn't stay up - a most uncomfortabler experience for a gentleman user(!) A few spectacular cobwebs in ceiling corners.
