Location and countryside views

Very spacious, lovely walk in shower and king size bed. Kitchen was well equipped. We had two dogs with us and there was a lovely good size secure garden for them to play in.

TV kept losing signal in the bad weather - need to change to a smart TV. No starter pack of tea, coffee, or milk. Didn't like the collapseable table & chairs as they were very uncomfortable. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Toilet cistern took ages to refill. Plant pots on patio full of weeds - not like the picture on Booking.com. Oven very old, not a fan oven.

They were very helpful and friendly and the cottage was lovely, clean and had everything we needed

The location was excellent, close to Tavistock (nice town) and within the Dartmoor National Park. Very friendly hosts, they were present when we arrived. When we had a question, it was promptly answered.

The property looks a little tired, could do with a bit of an update. I would recommend a new bed, and some comfortable garden furniture.

Fantastic location, with great views and a lovely sized garden for the dog. It was very peaceful with no traffic noise at all.

Everything that was needed was provided; everything worked; spotlessly clean ; comfortable and warm; beautiful views.

A nice little self-contained property within a farm complex, very quiet and very isolated. I did see the owners of Wilson Cottage (who left a nice welcoming card and gift) but apart from them, zero people did I come across, a really peaceful break I had.

This is only a minor point but I do think I should mention it, and it's obviously nothing to do with the owners. Walking to the local pub/restaurant is not really an option, even on my own I'd not attempt walking in the dark winter months. Wilson Cottage is approx. 300 metres from the main road down a narrow country lane (unadopted road/track), the nearest pub/restaurant (The Mary Tavy Inn) is then a further 700 metres, 10 to 12 minutes walk along the A386. It's an unlit road with no pavement and no real verge to get onto if/when vehicles are coming. Only my thoughts of course, I walk to the pub would have been nice.
