The location and room

WiFi did not work

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was amazing . The pub was very cosy and the garden was lovely .

The accommodation was very small and next to main road so you can hear traffic all night .

Cottage was clean and very well equipped. Breakfast was amazing! Proper pub landlord, friendly locals.

Cosy stay , felt secure and safe as gated.

House flies occasionally flying around if the door was kept open

I really liked the cottage, which had everything I needed and more. The bed was really comfy, and the kitchen was well equipped. The location was really handy. The property was easily accessible and there was parking adjacent.

Unfortunately, when I was there a roof was being repaired in the adjacent building, and works went on until after 18:00 (I arrived at 15:00) and commenced at 07:40am, so it was not really conducive to the relaxing stay I was hoping for. This was just a one off though, and it would not put me off staying there again

The owners were exceptionally friendly and the cottage was comfortable. Good location with bus to York from right outside. Good cheap pint in the pub!

Only issue is car park in front of cottage is small but plenty of room in the pub car park.
