Cottage With Hot Tub in Pembrokeshire

Lovely little cottage in an ideal location. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, everything is made easy as it is fully equipped with everything you could need.

The location of the property was great, easy to drive to with free parking & was close to some lovely beaches. It has potential to be a great cottage, but it is not looked after.

Much like the recent reviews, mine is the same. Booked for 4 nights, but left after 3 (wouldn’t have stayed the 3rd night but couldn’t drive because I had had a drink) the ceiling was leaking in the living room, this was from the shower, there was a swimming pool of water on the table & on the floor. The leak is very close to the light, which is of course a safety hazard. When I messaged the host about this, he said he would come & check in the morning but it was being fixed the end of the next week (he didn’t come & check) & I also don’t think you should be renting out a property if you know you have a leak which is close to electric - this was the final straw for us & we couldn’t stay another night. In other reviews the host replies saying he has a ‘team of professional cleaners’ I don’t believe this. There was a bag of damp laundry left in the living room when we got there & all pans/cutlery we used had to be washed before using them because everything was dirty. There was stuff under the beds from previous guests too. A couple of hours before my arrival the host messaged to say that he has to maintain the hot tub every day, and as there is no back entrance he would have to come through the house - this should be stated before booking if a man is going to be letting himself into the property & walk through it every day that you’re staying, I couldn’t relax knowing he could turn up at anytime. It’s disappointing because the location is wonderful, and it has potential to be a great cottage. It’s just not looked after at all. The tv is not a smart tv as stated & just has basic channels. I hate to write negative reviews & all my reviews are usually so positive, but I do believe people should know what this place is like before booking, I wish I hadn’t ignored the bad reviews, because they’re all correct unfortunately.

Advertised for having a hot tub but no towels are provided, even for showering. As a family of 4 paying this much and arriving after a full day of traveling, was so disappointing. Heating kept defaulting to cold on the bottom floor. Radiators upstairs did not work. Frying pans still had food and fat stuck to them. Dishes, utensils, cups needed to be washed before they could be used. Oven tray sticky and had food left on it Owner took a long time to reply to tell us there were no towels and we could go down the road and buy some. Overall this house is very outdated, especially compared to other accommodation at a cheaper price. It needs a good deep clean and revamp to get it back to standard. The number of the flat was never provided so we needed to go out and look for a house similar to the booking.com photos til we found it. Rubbish from previous guest under the main bed There is an old laminated posted stating the fee of 20 pounds would be charged if rubbish is not put into the correct colored bags, however these bags were not provided. Recycling bins/tubs outside the house were overflowing.

Great location. Being right by the road it was easy to get to lots of places, and there's shops and places to eat close by. The kids loved the hot tub.

The cottage needs a good clean - the host could probably do with hiring professionals. All cutlery and crockery we used had to be washed before we could use it - one look at the cheese still in the grater from a previous guest really put me off cooking there. It's quite disgusting. The rooms hadn't been cleaned - rubbish from previous guests was just left under the beds, and bits of rubbish were left in drawers. A bag of dirty laundry was left in the middle of the living room, another in the cupboard under the stairs, and the washing machine was full as well. No towels or bath mat provided - when I messaged the host I was told that guests kept stealing the towels so they're not provided anymore, but there were dirty towels in the laundry bags left and in the washing machine, so I think they've just been misplaced rather than stolen. The hot tub was nice but the garden was definitely not suitable for children. Wires, an old filter, and hot tub paraphernalia were just left randomly around the garden. Fence paint, a brush, and paint sprayer were left in the garden - surely the host should have moved these, knowing children were coming to stay. And there was even a used vape by the picnic table! I took loads of photos because I couldn't believe the state of the place. The cottage itself is lovely, it just needs someone to look after it and clean it. All-in-all, a very disappointing place.

The location was perfect as we were visiting someone in Withybush hospital.

I couldn’t find the recycling bin and bags

The hot tub we made good use of it, the beds were comfy

More kitchen utensils l took my own tin opener could do with a whisk and a few more sauce pans, and an air fryer would be a good addition but not jugs either l had to make gravy and serve in a cup.

place was simple easy to access and parking was easy, place has clear instructions on how to use everything and fair rules nothing out of the ordinary. I would be looking to use this place again as I was down visiting local friend.
