The Davey Tower, Medieval Riverside House

We had amazing stay here - absolutely loved this unique historic property! The location could not be better; right in the centre, on the river, with amazing views and close to all the attractions, pubs, and restaurants. It was even prettier, more spacious and with more amenities than anticipated - including lots of useful tourist information and a fantastic book selection. We came by train and then walked and the property was really easy to find and get into. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere special to stay in beautiful York!

Very unique and quirky. We loved the history and location.

It wasn’t a dislike just the stairs outside as my partner is visually impaired. However, once he negotiated them he was very careful.

The house is beautifully decorated and very quaint and also nice and quiet. It is situated on the river bank and its located in a very scenic location. Less than 10 mins from the centre of York. It's perfect for a couple

You will need to go up one flight of steps to enter the property, but otherwise it's a lovely house.

We loved our stay here, it's the perfect spot for a weekend away in York. The flat is so well decorated (looks better than the photos!) and very comfortable. It was easy to find, literally next to Clifford's Tower, and the laneway leading up to the flat is so charming. Everything is very walkable, and there is a great bakery on your doorstep as well as Sophie's just on the river, we had a great time - have already recommended this flat to multiple friends who are staying soon! Thanks!

Would have been handy if dog bowls were provided but otherwise no issue.

Location was outstanding! It was a small place but perfect for what we wanted.

Was difficult to find the light in the bathroom.

The location of the Tower is fantastic for exploring the City, close enough to all the main attractions and in such a beautiful setting. Great to have breakfast watching the river, heading out for the day, and then returning to a cozy, welcoming place to stay of an evening.

Location was fabulous, bed was really comfortable, loved the secure courtyard and kitchen facilities were good.

I slept really well but my partner was kept awake on the last night with the pipes/radiator making banging sounds.

Great location.
