Location in the village. Cream tea provided on arrival.

Damp smell in kitchen/lounge. Toilet blocked on arrival. Bed broken on arrival. Wifi not provided until 3rd day. TV not working as powered by wifi. Not deep cleaned - dust and cobwebs in areas needed to access sockets. Shower only functioned at full power intermittently. Not prepared adequately for a new guest, and not as described for facilities. Although the cream tea provided as an extra was nice, I would much rather have had a clean, functioning property with all facilities as described! Despite not providing what was paid for, no concession was made on the price.

"Disappointing start to our holiday."

4.0

Breakfast n/a accomodations was adequate

No hot water, despite alerting host. Wrong internet password so couldn't connect and even when we had the correct code connection was slow and intermittent. No ventilation in bedroom. Constant hum from air source pump and fridge. Also not very fresh smelling as if smokers had been in. Not everyone can tolerate air fresheners.

"Lovely property in a very pretty town"

10.0

I stayed one night in Hartland before travelling onto Lundy the next morning. The host Michelle was lovely and very welcoming, and she had left me a cream tea in the fridge which was a nice treat! The bed was extremely cosy. The location of the property was very central and was walking distance to the local amenities, I can recommend the Kings Arms (lovely view from the pub garden) and the local fish and chip shop. I drove down to Hartland Quay in the morning which was beautiful. I would definitely recommend.

"Not pleasant hearing owners every move at night."

The property is part of main house and we were disturbed by owners moving around snoring until late into night, and by drunks arguing in street at 3am. Need to sound proof ceiling in bedroom of property at least, for privacy if nothing else.
