Tarporley Holiday Cottage

The cottage was very comfortable and a good size for our family group, the bedrooms in the basement were great for the older children. Great location in a lovely village.

Area was lovely, pubs very friendly

No lighting outside property, log burner out of order which was disapointing as we booked because it had a log burner . House needs maintenance and some tlc No curtains or blinds in front dining room , very cold and unwelcoming in there .

Great location in village centre. Plenty of space for 2 families. Sofa great for sitting lots of people

Nothing not to like but would be nice to have a cafetiere or other coffee maker. Dining room would be nice with softer lighting, a bit cosier. Perhaps some younger games for the console?

We stayed at Tarporlay Holiday Cottage over the Christmas period as we were visiting family who lived locally and had a really wonderful stay! We were two family groups,8 people and everyone agreed their beds and bedrooms were really lovely,clean and comfortable. The front room was really brilliant and cosy with a large sofa everyone could get on and watch the Christmas movies together.Lots of family games provided and a fab games room downstairs for younger members of the family to chill out in. The owners also provided a lovely tree which was a very lovely thought and made it a festive home from home! The kitchen was perfect for cooking our Christmas dinner and we loved the large dining table and dining room which we used a lot for our breakfasts and buffet lunches. The location is beautiful as well being a stones throw away from the lovely high street and amenities and we were able to take our doggy on lots of nice walks. We all would definitely recommend especially for larger groups of family/friends. We loved the house so much we have booked again for next Christmas for our 2025 festive get-together!
