Property was beautifully presented and cosy. Great location. Very clean

The heating seemed to have a mind of its own. We would turn it down to the lowest before going to bed but it would come on in the middle of the night. It would also turn itself up and down of an evening. I thought it was a member of my family but when I asked them they said they'd never touched it. Only a very minor criticism

It’s very well done out and immaculate interior.

There is no parking on the street and instructions were not clear about this.

It was easy to collect the keys, the house was wonderful the little decorative touches made this the best place we have stayed in, it was well placed for the city and the house was comfortable, warm and I will definitely book again

Comfortable quiet.good location to the centre.

Within 30 mins of arriving at the property we were greeted by a traffic warden outside the house.Telling me that I could not leave my vehicle outside the property,fortunately he was a very nice person and gave me ample time to move the car,the owners of the property were too tight to buy a permit allowing you to park outside the house so nunnery lane is 5 mins walk away.be warned…the neighbours on the street will grass you up if you park outside..

Great location…5 mins to shops & bars..15 min walk to The Shambles. Easy to book & access to property. Immaculate place to stay, very clean, everything in there you could poss want. Love the welcome pack, so helpful.

Stairs are very steep but this is typical of the property age.

excellent location, although it was central and within easy walking distance to the centre of York, it was a lovely peaceful location no noise or anything.

The property was clean and tidy upon arrival, the beds were very comfortable. The decor was nice and made the house have a cottage feel with the barn door on the bathroom and choice of furnishings. Bathroom and kitchen well presented overall nice holiday home.

The staircase is lethal very very steep and I have small feet and could barely fit my foot on the steps. When leaving bedrooms you walk straight onto the stairs. This would be a major hazard for children and elderly. I walked down the stairs sideways which made it easier. I would recommend another hand rail on the wall side as to offer more safety. The parking is an issue, you aren’t able to park outside the property (wasn’t made clear ended up with a nice parking fine). The nearest car park that I was able to park in was 6 minute drive away. I’m disabled and wouldn’t have been able to get my belongings to the property if I didn’t park in the street originally to get them to the door, with the help of my family. I wouldn’t recommend the property to anyone driving to the area. Or anyone who isn’t able to carry items due to mobility issues. The welcome pack needs to state that you cannot park on the street. Also needs to say this on the online information clearly set out so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. It was very disappointing to find a parking fine on my car, It stated I had a digital parking permit and could use this in council car parks. No where on the website or welcome pack does it say you cannot park at the property. So a nice slap in the face for anyone who uses the property for a holiday. This happened on our first day!!! Disappointing as i was made to feel as if I didn’t read it correctly. However was told by people within the street that this parking issue happens all the time. Also on the walls within the street it says parking permits only, I was not told that these parking permits are different to the one I was being issued.
