Homely property in an ideal location for a city break

The location, cleanliness, decoration. A very good bathroom. Easy to use kitchen appliances. The little stools, and the books to look at, everything in keeping with a Victorian cottage. Comfortable beds with good pillows. Very quiet and peaceful.

I really wanted to fix the net curtains in the main bedroom. We found the stairs very steep but of course that goes with the cottage. There was no welcome pack when we arrived. Nothing else as we liked our stay off

Very quiet location just across the river from the main York attractions. Easy walk to the train station, easy walk to the city center. Large living space for 3 people, and comfortable beds and pillows.

We didn't have breakfast. The location was poor it said that it was a 5 to 10 minute walk which it wasn't it took us 30 mins to walk into centre of York. Also the parking was a 15 min walk away

Walking time into centre needs to be changed to 30 mins walk. Also the parking details need to be made more clear it was very misleading. The marketing needs to mention that the bathroom is downstairs as if you are elderly or not very mobile it's very dangerous negotiating the stairs which are very steep during the night. If I had known the bathroom was downstairs I would never have booked the property.

Great location. House was really cute, clean and quiet.

The property was lovely and cosy and well equipped for a short stay. It was in a great location to access the city of York and all the tourist attractions.

We received 2 parking tickets for parking near the property despite being assured that our car registration had been registered for a virtual permit. Even after ringing up speak to staff and being assured they would sort things out we received a further ticket. The company are now arguing about paying for the fine. Do not stay here if you are driving because you will be issued with parking fines. Despite the listing stating a key feature is ‘parking’, there is no parking at the property.

Very cosy, comfortable, lovely cottage decor and close to the centre!
