GABLE COTTAGE - One Bed Cottage Close to Holmfirth and the Peak District

The property was absolutely lovely. Felt like a home from home. Loved the location. Loved the beams on show in the property, very pretty and quirky. Loved everything about it. We would definitely stay again. Also dog friendly which was a bonus. She loved the nearby walks.

I can’t say there’s anything we didn’t like. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic location, easy access and lovely bed.

Too many scented air fresheners - I am asthmatic so I had to evict them and air the house. This is a personal thing and does not detract from the property.

Easy to find, helpful attentive host. Very clean and cosy cottage. Very peaceful area and friendly neighbours.

Not much in the surrounding areas so make sure to do a shop before hand. The closest pub is a 15/20 minute walk away. £25 charge for bringing a dog was not advertised and had to privately send. I felt this should be clearly stated when booking.

Everything, quietness, location, neighbours were friendly, good location for sightseeing.

Toilet seat was loose and needs seeing to.

A beautifully decorated cottage. Very clean. We had everything we needed and everything worked well. We had hot water in the shower with good pressure.

I have a feeling that some people might understand the directions in the folder wrong and turn the left hand tap the wrong way, hence some of the previous reviews. Please check. Follow the arrows on the taps. First the tap on the left. Then turn the right hand tap slowly.
