"Beautiful idyllic location , fantastic value for money"

8.0

We stayed here last year for the 1 st time ever .It has all the basic self catering needs you need , beautifully designed and set out . Beautiful location

Lack of cooking equipment - no large frying pans , no decent cooking spatula or tongues - we cooked all week to save money but found it a little challenging . No tvs in the bedrooms . Option of a hot tub at pet friendly cottages would be nice .

"Find somewhere else if you can"

The location is fabulous. The downstairs living/kitchen/dining area was comfortable

We arrived at 4pm on Saturday, clearly a changeover day. Reception was closed, no notice on the door about how to check in. Phone reception is poor and it took me a while to locate a signal. Phoned the number on their website and spoke to a man who clearly wasn't interested. He said reception waa shut on a Saturday and I should have been sent a key card. He kept repeating that, even though I clearly hadn't received it. Turns out he meant the key code for the box by the front door. His attitude waa awful. We had no hot water out of any of the taps. The shower tray in the ensuite is beastly. The mattresses are like sleeping on rocks. We did speak to a lovely lady at reception on Sunday morning. To be fair to her, she offered to go in and have a look at our issues. We were heading out to a wedding so we declined, and we were leaving the next day anyway. She said the stains in the shower tray could be glue. Even if it is glue, it needs sorting as it looks like green muck.

"We loved our stay in the Eyam cottage. The location was stunning and perfect for our needs. Definitely recommending to f"

Absolutely beautiful location. Lovely downstairs. Nice to get some little toiletries and a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits.

The en-suite bathroom needs a bit more of a clean around the skirting board and in the shower tray.

"Ok for a short break"

7.0

The property was mired in spacious than it looks in the photos! Modern open plan living.

From half way up the stairs the whole of the upstairs of the house creaks very loudly. You literally can’t move in bed without the floors creaking - I wanted to leave after the first night it was so bad. The first night we managed to fill a bath (full) with hot water the second night we didn’t even get half a bath full. Electric wall heaters worked intermittently - it was a cold weekend the upstairs of the property was really cold. Bedroom curtains need replacing with either a blackout blind or curtains. Current curtains don’t work at all for blocking out day light. PAT testing in washing machine expired over a year ago. On the day of departure the cleaners tried to get in the property at 9.37am luckily we had the door locked.

"Pleasant Stay in pretty location"

7.0

Very pretty location with a lovely outlook. Our stay was nice and quiet. Couldn’t hear the neighbours either side unless they were outside. Easy check-in. Convenient parking close by. Property was clean and well equipped with most things we needed. We didn’t really use the large kitchen appliances or the en-suite but they appeared clean and serviceable. Bedding and flooring were spotless.

No huge negatives, but beds and settee were not very comfortable for extended use. Double bed/room is tiny (maybe ask for the single beds in Room 2 to be zip-linked if, like us, you need a bit more space!). The heating took some getting used to. The shower pressure (the one over the bath) was quite lacklustre. Not many sockets and none next to the bed or the mirrors. All the sockets we found required furniture to be moved to access them - we were glad we brought an extension cord. As other people have mentioned, the floor was extremely creaky! But overall the cottage was quite pleasant.

It was comfortable clean and relaxing fishing was good

No outside private space even if it was some sort of screen out the back. Need proper pontoons for fishing as area outside cottage wasn't the best

It was lovely 😍 just the break we needed

The lack of disabled parking was a bit of an issue but not really major
