Lavender House

The house was comfortable. Good location. Well equipped. Would stay again.

The frying pans were dirty. Would of liked earlier check in as only stayed 2 nights. Free sat didn't work even though put different batteries in

The cottage was perfect for our family, the location was spot on- just minutes from Sherwood pines and Sherwood Forest

We loved everything!

The third bedroom is best suited to a child due to size of the bed

A compact home but very well planned and with charming decor. Lots of lavender front of house!! The central location is a bonus and quiet even though on main road. Having 2 dedicated parking places off main road but right next to the house was great. As are the breakfasts opposite at Dukeries Lodge. Co-op 5 mins walk for groceries. Excellent base for exploring Robin Hood's haunts in this historical area. A good base to join in with family camping nearby now we have had to give up camping!

Nothing, this is our go to accommodation when visiting family

Very clean, fresh decor and big windows letting in lots of light. Very convenient situation. However, several things were either missing or not working: no kitchen scissors and only one oven shelf. Electric fire had been disabled by owner and heating would not work. Instructions said not to touch boiler but after calls to owner next day boliler needed to be adjusted. Weather was warm but evenings chilly and would have been nice to have fire on in lounge. Hot tap in downstairs wc not working. Microwave was a law unto itself. Doorbell doesn’t work. Bathroom is very good and beds are comfortable. However, mirror front of wardrobe has a nasty looking big crack right across it and the dressing table corner protrudes over the bed space. Single room not really suitable for use except by children as access to bed is very limited because of sloping wall. Very cramped room though useful shelving on wall.
