Lovely 4 Bedroom House in Central Bath

The location was good. It was very warm and three out of the four bedrooms were good. The box room was disappointing. It isn’t a stunning property though as described.

The crockery and utensils needed cleaning before use. The lock box is in a very unfortunate position low down by the ground which made it hard to access and see to put the code in.

Lovely house! Great decoration, the owner was quick on responsing to all my question. There is 2 bathrooms and good size bedrooms.

A Lovely spacious property within easy access of Bath.

Parking instructions sent far too late and no internet to access them - took 45 mins to work out where to park. Very few teabags and coffee pods supplies - not even enough for the first night for 6 of us. Apartment well furnished but soft furnishing all looking a big grubby and tired now.

  Accommodation is spacious with lovely city views.  It is mostly clean (read on) and warm, with comfortable furnishings. Towels are particularly good quality.  A relatively short walk to city centre with all it's attractions. The house was warm.

The house description is a little misleading in that it does not mention that walking to it, eg from the station, it is up a steep hill with many steps. Even driving, access would be an issue for anyone with limited mobility, as parking is below. The house is also on 3 floors with 2 flights of stairs, which should be mentioned. The outside courtyard is messy, unlike the photos (we realise it is November, but sweeping is possible even in winter). Once inside, the description also tells of 2.5 bathrooms. We only found 2!  In the kitchen, the fridge was smeared with old milk stains.  The dishwasher held dirty cups and plates and the coffee machine was full of empty capsules.  None of these were a pleasant greeting. Nor was the bathroom and one of the bedroom bins, which had not been emptied from previous guest/s (who knows how many); still in the bathrooms, the upstairs door lock is broken and the downstairs shower was inconsistent in temperature.  In the bedrooms, there was a used t-shirt on the floor in one, a used towel on the back of the door in another.  The pillows are very thin and need replacing. We followed the instructions to report issues and although received a reply, it was difficult to get even an apology and no action was taken while we stayed, even though eventually the question ‘how can we make this right?’ was asked.  To date we have had no reply to our suggestions. Individually, these aspects could possibly be overlooked, but taken together, they show lack of attention to detail and willingness to respond. We notice some if not all of these issues have been consistently raised, so it seems a shame that fairly simple solutions have not yet been found.  It didn’t actually spoil our trip, but we would not return and would suggest people wishing to stay here read reviews carefully.  We are professional people, some running our own lets, so understand some oversights can happen.

It was spacious and comfortable. Not easy to locate the exact parking space. A short walk to the town centre.

Lots of steps but ok for us. Could be very problematic for older individuals.

It had a musty smell.
