Lovely 4 Bedroom House in Central Bath

Location

Rubbish from previous renter still in trash cans. Lack of toilet paper and paper towels. Steps to the property were many and steep. Not for the elderly nor people with mobility issues.

It was a good location and nice to have parking

It should be highlighted this property is not suitable for people with mobility issues I recently had hip replacement and if I had arrived prior to this I would not have been able to access property

Inside the house is spacious and comfort to stay.

The shower on ground floor without hot water. The lock of bathroom door was broken.

Good location Accommodation suited our group

Plug sockets were fused on arrival & not working. Key lock difficult to access due to location. Dining area & downstairs bedroom cold. Did report bedroom cold during stay but no action taken. Downstairs bedroom smelt & bed in there could feel slats of base through mattress. No oven gloves in kitchen. Controls to work shower in downstairs shower room not clear. Pillows thin. Property general tired. Parking is away from property with lots of steps!

A good location and a very practical space for socialising. Comfortable bedrooms and clean.

The kettle and toaster were both not working, there were also no oven gloves so that made catering tricky. This was raised with the property who told us it was disappointing as the toaster was only a month old and the cleaners only have a limited time to clean therefore cannot check things! The shower room downstairs is unclear as to which switches need to be on in order for it to work, when we got a response it did work but for half the stay 7 people were relying on one bathroom. The property is also not accessible friendly, and involves stairs in both directions to access it. The management company have continually said they will get back to me regarding the issues we raised (another was the TV upstairs was not working) but I have had no reply. Clearly a once loved property but it needs a closer eye to address the practical details.

The location was very convenient and an easy walk into the centre of Bath. Handy to have two parking spots. The house was mostly clean, good towels and linen, effective heating and hot water. The kitchen was well-equipped. Netflix on the TV. Tea, coffee and UHT milk pods provided. They took delivery of a package for us and placed it inside.

The key-box is very low down. The cleaning needs more attention - the grill pan and oven were dirty. There is still a damp problem downstairs as evidenced by black mould on the windowsill and the use of diffusers to mask the smell. One of the beds needed fixing. The parking spots are some distance from the house itself and no direct access from the road. The next door neighbours make a lot of noise late at night.

Great location, great facilities, very clean, good communication from host. Great views of Bath City centre.

Locks on bathroom doors need attention.
