Fox Lodge with Hot Tub

The lodge was well sized and appointed, comfortable for 6 adults (and a wee dog). Beds were comfortable, and the site is well maintained. Access to Park and Ride facilities into York was a reasonable distance, and the nearby town of Pocklington is a short drive away with plenty of shopping and takeaway food options.

Minor grumble - EV charging facilities at the clubhouse are slow, but that is me being very picky.

As we didn't arrive till late, it was lovely walking into a nice warm lodge, which was also clean and tidy.

It lacked every day equipment for example – an oven glove, tea towel and dish cloth. Due to the fact that we had to pay out £200 deposit, we took photographs of any damage and marks that were already there as proof that we hadn't done it.

The Lodge was spacious with ample room for 6 adults and a dog. It was a lovely place to spend Christmas and the hot tub was a great addition. It was nice there was a Christmas tree up for our Christmas visit.

The lodge itself could do with some TLC. The radiators were rusty, there were stains on the sofa, carpet and dining room chairs. Chips within the wood work on doors etc. Also found various bits of rubbish from other guests around the lodge including a scrunched up crisp packet under the sofa and various items under the bed. All the bedding was on inside out and also had some staining. The kitchen wasn't very well equipped especially to make a Christmas dinner.

Relaxing location

Bathroom lock faulty so kept getting locked in and light was also faulty and would just switch off Kitchen area was grubby had to wipe everything down before use and re wash glasses

The lodge was spacious. The sofa bed in the lounge was massive and the en suite in the main bedroom made life much easier.

Only a single duvet for sofa bed in lounge.

Dirty plates, glasses, and cutlery. The air fryer hadn't been cleaned and was full of grease and food debris from the previous guests.
