apart from being across from mcdonalads and all the noise til 2am, the location is great.

needs a overhaul. kitchen utensils missing - 5 forks for 6 people, only a bread knife (no other knife block), 3 frypans and 2 unusable, scratched and filthy, same with oven trays, beds need new mattresses.

Great location and very comfortable. Would have marked higher if it hadn't been for absolute nightmare of party goers screaming and shouting till 5am for the 3 nights of our stay. No sleep posiible. I know its town centre bit this was on another scale.. Shame for such a lovely property to have it ruined by a 24 hour Macdonalds attracting really antisocial behaviour with no responsibility taken by the venue.

Easily big enough for 6 people

If you like sleep, don't stay here. Opposite a 24-hour Mcdonalds, where there was constant noise and fighting.

Location in York when initially booked. Space in the property.

Across the road from a 24hr McDonalds. The 2 main bedrooms are to the front which meant 3 sleepless nights due to the noise. Dirty shower curtain, old duvets in the cupboards that were not clean and a lot of dust in the apartment.

Great location downside no parking, very costle for long term parking

The location is perfect

The appartment layout is not comfortable for family stay. 2nd floor: 2 bedroom and bathroom 3rd floor : kitchen and living room 4th floor : bedroom, bathroom and laundry room. It’s not as we thought for 6-7 family members. The toilet on 4th floor was not working properly (clogged). So we have to called and emailed them and then they sent a plumber to fixed it. The stairs on the entrance to the 2nd floor have a weird smell. Utensils in the kitchen were old. We are not satisfied with this place. They did not clean the appartment properly. We found used tissue under our bedrooms on the 2nd floor. For 6 nites, we got only 2 toilet papers for each bathroom. The only thing we love was that the place is in the middle of the centre. Minister of York is just walking distance.

Great size for 2 families, shame about the smell and the noise!

The property had a very musty smell as soon as you walked in. The entire first floor had the same smell. It needs a good clean of the carpets (if not a full carpet change, according to Zoopla they’ve been there a very long time!!!). Would be better to have the wooden flooring throughout the property where there is heavy foot fall rather than carpet!! The beds are rock hard, we could feel every single spring in the bottom bunk bed. There should be some warning on the description that the property is located opposite a 24hr McDonalds, and although noise is expected with it being such a central location, there should be a better warning to say the noise is excessively loud!!! The welcome pack advises to park in a car park which is quite expensive when staying for more than 1 night, there is free parking on the side streets just an extra 5minute walk from Marygate car park! There are no sharp kitchen knives in the kitchen, if you are planning on cooking meals, bring your own knives or don’t bother!! First floor shower room is small. The sink is too small for its use, and no light in the shower. Had to leave shower curtain open causing the floor to become wet when in use.

Apt is spacious and has 3 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms. Location is central.

Mattresses are lumpy and uncomfortable. Bunk beds are not level. Steep stairs are unsuitable for those with mobility issues. Kitchen equipment needs updating or replacement. Not all windows open easily. Main problem is excessive noise from 12 midnight to 5am due to all night MacDonalds opposite.

Very nice apartment in absolutely perfect location (2 min walk from York cathedral and whole town is in short walking distance - 15min). The apartment was very clean and tidy.

Only downfall was for me mattress on bunk bed, it need to be change as you can feel every spring.
