Thomas, Off Leeman Road

Location was convenient for the railway station and was an easy walk into the centre of York. The property was excellent - clean, well equipped, comfortable beds. The individual toiletries was a nice touch as was the packet of biscuits and chocolates. It suited 4 mature ladies perfectly. There was a minor issue with the parking permit not being in the property when we arrived, but a phone call to the number provided sorted the issue - a contractor had failed to return the permit, but they delivered it within an hour.

There was little we didn't like about the property - except that there was no potato masher or stick blender (a minor issue as we made do)! The local Premier Convenience store that is noted in the 'welcome pack' is no longer open, but we found another shop nearby.

Excellent location, easy walking into the centre of York

Beds were rather hard and bedroom doors, hall upstairs and stairs very creaky. Kitchen well equipped but missing a fish slice and potato masher

Really spacious downstairs so the group could sit together ! You could also connect to a speaker to play music while we had a few drinks before going into York. The bedrooms were perfect sizes also.

For the main bathroom on the first floor there wasn’t enough toilet roll for 5 people for our 3 night stay (one more would have been just enough). An extra parking space may have been a bonus considering the size of the group, however the train station is only 10 minute walk away. Also, there was some playing cards that we used but we wished they had some more game boards we could have played.

Good location. Great for the railway museum and the station. A 20 min walk to the centre. We liked the open plan layout. The rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. It was a quiet. Nice to have a small outside space. Having a parking space was good.

Couple of small things. We could only find one tea towel?There were instructions about what to do with the rubbish but the outside general waste bin was full and didn't appear to have been emptied for some time. As mentioned by others the floor boards were very creaky.

It suited us very well. Had everything we needed and was nice and clean.

We had a man come at us very angry saying that we had been dumping our rubbish on his end (he gave us an empty gusto box). We tried to explain it wasn’t us but he used foul language and said he was going to put all the rubbish through the letter box. When we looked at the delivery address afterwards it was 73 not 74.
