Yew Tree Cottage Farm Stay Sleeps 4

Lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful peaceful location that was a great base to access the coast. The bed was really comfy and the facilities were great. We really liked sitting in the garden in the evening looking out at the fields and castle. We stayed here with our 4 month old, and there was plenty of room in the main bedroom for her next to me crib, and there would be plenty of room for a full size travel cot too.

Bedroom radiators cold as was the bathroom one. Very cold February nights so these needed to be hot. A previous comment about this was in the visitors book but obviously not acted on.

Everything. It’s a beautiful and comfortable cottage with everything you need. The 128 service is brilliant for a trip to Scarborough and Helmsley. Never used the car the whole trip. 2nd visit and we will be back again next year.

Property was as listed, facilities all working and property was clean and tidy.

Welcome book could do with an update, contact numbers didn't work and taxi information inaccurate.

Love yew tree cottage and they've had a nice new bathroom since we last visited in August ...the views are outstanding

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Enjoyed seeing horses and rabbits nearby. Cosy with log fire going. Beds were comfortable and cottage was very clean. My 13 year old son especially liked the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom.

Cute little property that was clean and just what we needed for the weekend we stayed. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t very good so we couldn’t use the outside space but it looked like it would be great for a sunny day.

When we arrived the oven door had blown so we walked into a kitchen full of glass. I rang the owner and someone came to clean the floor at once, however, it was a cursory clean so my friend and I cleaned all the worktops and floor to ensure there was no glass shards anywhere. We weren’t offered any sort of refund for not having an oven which would have been a nice gesture, although we didn’t ask.

Fabulous location in terms of peacefulness, privacy, views, accessibility & local amenities (shop & post office, petrol station, chippy, hotel restaurant, great fish restaurant, two pubs serving good food, all within walking distance) Cottage was very clean, & well equipped, even had a hair dryer! Very comfortable sofas & double bed, and lovely outdoor seating area. Even though the bathroom is downstairs, an upstairs toilet between the 2 bedrooms means this is not a problem at night.

The weather was not conducive to making more use of the outdoor seating, or exploring the local footpaths.

Everything! The hosts were absolutely brilliant, the cottage fantastic location with gorgeous views. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything you could possibly need in terms of appliances and comfort, even tea facilities and biscuits. The cottage is a 5 min walk to a pub and a fab fish restaurant (highly recommended btw, however book in advance for both!) The restaurant was called "walkers" and the pub was the Forge Inn. The host was able to secure our bikes safely. The Cottage is on a working "farm" mainly horses. The owner has friendly dogs too. Can't fault it, we would definitely stay again.
