Carpenters Cottage, Elton in the Peak District

A wonderful property, handily situated in the lovely village of Elton. From here the whole of the Peak District is easily accessible by car. The property is quiet and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen. I can honestly say I’ve never slept so well anywhere away from home.

All good, nothing to dislike.

Beautiful views from the bedroom and the bathroom (lovely to look out for miles while having a bath). All the facilities you would need in the kitchen and a comfortable bed. Fabulous location, only 15min drive from Matlock and perfect for exploring the Peak District (does have bus links if you don't have a car). Lovely size for a family of 3 or a couple, and fantastic value for money. Thank you for a lovely stay!

No outside space. But not really a complaint as we were aware of this before booking. A great little park in the village (5min walk from cottage) to use if you have a child with you.

Location was ideal .Beautiful country side.

Front door was very hard to open from inside potential fire hazard for children. Not dog friendly. Dogs not allowed upstairs, no outdoor space but photos look like there is. Beds too soft and smaller room squashed in so feet touch wall. Couch ,carpets need a deep clean. Not enough wood for log fire, musky smell in property.

Lovely cottage, very comfortable and well eqipped. Great views from the back of the house. Loved the view from the bathroom! Good location to explore the south Peak District .

Bigger sofas and footstools would be good after a long days walking

Good value for money. Well equipped Well situated. Quiet. Lots of info on the area.

Lovely warm and cosy cottage with beautiful views from the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom windows. The cottage was well equipped and a thoughtful welcome package provided . The beds were so comfortable and we both slept well as the cottage is in a quiet village. Great place for walking and visiting places like Bakewell. We had a lovely evening playing dominoes with the locals at the pub in the village one night and they were so welcoming and friendly. We would definitely return here.

The village of Elton is beautiful and the cottage is on the main street of Elton. The cottage is quaint and comfortable. There are plenty of lovely walks right on the doorstep. The bath is large and deep - great for enjoying after long walks !

Cosy & very comfortable with everything you need provided. In a very quiet little village with spectacular views & walks on the doorstep. Great value for money.
