"A very nice place for our family of 5."

Check in and door code were provided by a very nice attendant at the Information Center near the station. She was more than willing to do that for us the day before our actual stay. That really freed us up the next day so that we didn't have to go back to the station.

The only thing I would suggest is to mention that there is a hinged cover over the keypad and that it must be lifted up to access the keypad. Also, that you must press any button to get the keys to light up.

"Great house for 6, clean in a good area, 15min walk from Kyoto station!"

Great house for family of 6. Super clean and equipped. Looks just like the pictures! Location is in a nice area 15 min walk from Kyoto station. Limited near by transportation so we mainly walked to Kyoto station. Neighbourhood is safe and Quiet with a few Izakayas and 7/11 shop around. Check in counter is in a different spot (other side of Kyoto station) which is not so convenient with luggage- would be better if they offer shuttle from check in counter to the house.

The location was great, a short walk to the train, the area was super nice and quiet. The house is super cute and has plenty of room for 6 people. Would definitely recommend!!

The reception desk where you pick up the keys is quite a while away from the accomodation - but they do offer a luggage transfer which is super helpful

"An enjoyable stay in a lovely property in Kyoto"

Lovely to stay in a house instead of a hotel with some traditional aspects. The heating was great, especially the under floor heating. We were very comfortable.

Just superb - clean, tidy, easy luggage forwarding receipt and sending through the management. spacious, flexible, multi bathroom/toilets. I look forward to staying at Machiya houses again!

it was expensive but worth it for a treat, or if you can split cost with others.
