Fujinoma Machiya House

Beautiful house in a traditional neighbourhood. We had a comfortable and pleasant stay in Kyoto

The dining area was somewhat cramped

The house was great. Good location, great traditional design but with modern amenities. Staff was very kind and flexible.

Very clean, has everything we needed. The main bathroom is big

The bathroom lighting is dim

Location, provided amenities, experience of a different type of housing.

WC located outside is a bit darker than I would’ve liked.

Everything, of substance, was great.

The only suggestion I would have is that there wasn't enough coffee for our stay. It's a small thing but, we were waking up @5am and none of the coffee shops opened until 10am. Housekeeping only comes if your stay is longer than ours. It would be nice if there was enough coffee to last between housekeeping visits.

Traditional house

Main door of house is bit hard to lock as its need maintenance after charging high amount they don’t provide housekeeping services which is shocking as they ask for extra amount for it. U can find another traditional house on better location and facilities
