Kyo no oozora KIHANA

This property was amazing! In the best location to walk everywhere and had such an authentic feel. We didn’t want to leave. It was myself, spouse and 11 year old.

We liked the location and the decor of keeping it fairly traditional with modern touches.

At first arrival it was great but after spending time there we realised it was not very practical. The bathroom is freezing cold if we didn’t have the little heater running the whole time. The shower is even colder as you enter and the shower device, looks fancy and pretty but not practical at all. A normal shower would have been way better. At first we didn’t understand why there were so many heaters / AC and then realised it’s because the property gets super cold. As the furniture / walls are all dark it made it hard to see even with the lights on. Just not ideal. Also, not sure why the trash cans are in different locations (plastic, recycling, rubbish) It just adds another layer of complexity. The beauty products in the bathroom are nice but to be honest, we travel with our products and the extra space was needed as there’s nowhere to put toiletry bags or where to hang towels. It would have been nice to have some shelvings, hangers or small tables to put our things. The only place available was the spare little room where we put our bags as there was no other space for them on the second floor. A nice place in a great location just not very convenient and practical for a traveler.

The place itself was cozy and special; that’s what we were looking for. Location at Gion area was good, although very near to main road and traffic. Place was clean and had all amenities we needed.

Traffic noise during evening and early in the morning was very disturbing. I woke every morning around 6.20 because of the noise although wearing earplugs. Also notice that third mattress at tatami room is thin futon like.

Close to nearby temples, restaurants, and conbinis! Plenty to see during the day and the night, and overall very cozy with two friends.

There’s a Main Street nearby that can get noisy at night. Also, the bed headboard had a layer of dust.

The location and house were excellent.services on site amazing and full comfort în the house.

The property was absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail was incredible and the thoughtfulness of small comforts to make our stay was really impressive. The location was ideal, so close to so many places. We felt like we were right in the heart of it.
