Imakumano Terrace - Eisen An 潁川庵

It was a beautiful and authentic place. We were satisfied with our stay from beginning to end. If you're carrying luggage, I recommend taking a taxi from Kyoto Station — since it's a short distance, the cost is about the same as public transport. The owner, Rachel, was very attentive. They had prepared lovely treats for the guests. On the day of our departure, she woke up at 6 a.m. to call a taxi for us. We really appreciate all her help.

Its a vey nice bungalow in a living area. The host is phenomenal, super friendly and supporting. She organized everything including tickets for the baseball game. Speaks fluently English and had worked in London before.

Its a 20 min walk to the train station… but hives a great exposure how people live in Kyoto and is off the main tourist tracks

The style, The location and the service were all amazing, Rachael the host was amazing and provided the most amazing service and even gave us recommendations for places to visit off the beaten path which turned out to be unreal! 10/10 will definitely stay again!

This is a traditional Japanese home, Minka, with all the bells and whistles. We loved everything about our stay here. The home is so clean, efficient, adorable, and has everything we needed. The bathroom is an absolute dream - like being in your own private Japanese spa. Upon arrival, Rachel had plenty of snacks and drinks waiting for us, so we didn’t have to worry about going to the market right away. Very comfortable beds. We loved the traditional Japanese kitchen and living area. Rachel was so nice and helpful the entire time. We would definitely come back!

This was a perfect stay. The location is a little further out from the tourist areas, but it’s lovely and quaint, and easy to get a taxi anywhere.

Host was beyond helpful, any needs were met with enthusiasm. Accommodation was so nice and clean, blending modern with traditional. Most comfortable stay in Japan.

Rachel is perfect and caring. The upgraded place to another block in the same lane is excellent and we were impressed with the Japanese design details. The snacks and drinks were great! Surprised there was even ice cream. All the electrical appliance and beds were perfect. Will definitely stay again if we visit Kyoto in the future :)

It was difficult to get uber/taxi in peak travel season at this location. We spent like more than 30mins to get one which was unexpected. However, the problem solved after we rented a car. The carpark for this property is nearby.
