Imakumano Terrace - Eisen An 潁川庵

So much space for a place in Japan! We had our own washer and dryer, full kitchen (with snacks, drinks, fruits and toasts provided on arrival), 2 restrooms and so much more. The host Rachel made our stay so enjoyable! We spent Thanksgiving here with another family and we couldn’t find a restaurant to eat at. We ended up going to the market and buying ingredients for our own hot pot dinner and borrowed a hotpot from Rachel. We’ve stayed at a lot of airbnbs type of accommodations but have never met a host as nice and genuine as Rachel.

For those who just want to get up and get on the subway to head out, it’s about a 7 minute walk to the bus station. We were traveling with 4 kids and the walk wasn’t even an issue.

The house was beautiful and located in an amazing neighborhood, filled to the brim with culture and history. This was what a stay in Kyoto should be like.

The room was like an entire house, traditional Japanese style with some incredibly beautiful modern features. The beds and futons were comfortable, the facilities and amenities were top quality. We enjoyed soaking in the bathtub during every night of our stay! It was our first time to travel in Kyoto and we were unsure what to expect of the lodging. We felt that choosing to stay here was a great decision, because the accommodations were really spacious and we could enjoy lots of creature comforts after our long days of sightseeing- Its the only hotel we've stayed in so far that has had NETFLIX which was really nice. The area was very quiet and calm, we felt like locals in Kyoto, although we were only a short walk away from some major tourist attractions like the 1000's buddha's temple.

Nothing. it was absolutely ideal. Would recommend without reservations. After seeing the quality of the facilities we felt we had gotten a bargain for such a luxury stay!

This has to be the best place to stay in Kyoto! It is in a quiet local neighborhood, walkable to shops and beautiful quiet temples away from the crowds at the major sites (which are just a short cab ride away). The apartment is beautifully designed and equipped with anything a guest could want, including lots of unexpected goodies. Rachel is an absolute gem and goes above and beyond to be helpful to her guests. What a perfect experience we had! Thank you, Rachel and Yoko!

Very nice houses and super friendly staff. House had everything we needed. It's on a quite street and we didn't hear any of the other guests.
