Kyoto Villa Kotone

Love the style of the villa and the location is near Kyoto station. The size is great for my family for 2 adults, 2 seniors and 3 kids. There’s 3 bedrooms so there’s ample sleeping space for everyone. The kitchen and dining space was a prefect space for preparing simple meals and bonding for the family. The staff is really helpful by allowing us to drop off our luggages before check in and after checkout timing.

The whole house feels a little too cold during the winter period. Might need more heating equipment for the house. There might be a need for more lighting in the house as it feels alittle too dim

Great apartment, super cute and comfortable for up to 6 people. Great common areas downstairs and nice quiet neighbourhood. Super close to the main station and lots of restaurants and conbini nearby.

The house was fantastic, great location, close to the shops and train station, but still very quiet. Enough space for the family. Really good vibe, excellent projector TV with streaming services.

Great to experience staying in a traditional style Japanese house. The location is extremely practical, being only 5 minutes' walk from Kyoto's main station, 5 minutes from a large shopping mall (with a large supermarket), 5 minutes from an underground station and close to lots of small convenience shops. We used the washing machine, which was easy to operate. It only has one setting though, so good for jeans and t-shirts but nothing more delicate.

The tatami matting is beautiful and it was a great experience being in a house furnished this way but be aware that you have to be extremely careful of it. It was fine with our older children but I would have been constantly nervous if I had had younger ones with us as spilling anything isn't an option!

The location is good. The design of the house is very nice.

The hygiene…. We killed a 3cm cockroach in the master bedroom on the second day… And we have 5 adults, 1 kindergarten and 1 toddler. There was only 6 beds. Texted owner about it, but the response was they expected toddler to sleep with adult coz they don’t charge much on toddlers. The house is quite old and seems lacking of maintenance, the place is quite dusty. Especially the AC needs a proper wash and remote control needs to change battery. Out of 4 remote control of AC, 2 are running out of battery…. Last but not the least….too many house rules….there are rules written on the memo pad almost everywhere in the house.

非常整潔、溫馨的住宿空間，處處可以感受到房東的用心，之後來京都會想再次入住。

可以打開行李箱的空間有點不足。睡覺的空間在二樓，須爬樓梯比較陡，若有年邁長輩上下樓時要小心。除此之外，一切都很棒!
