Kyoto Villa Kotone

-Location: incredibly close to Kyoto station with access to many of the JR lines -Very calm and quiet atmosphere with shops and restaurants around -Great to have washer/dryer in the apt

Wow! Amazing place with a great blend of Japanese and Western style. It was so cozy and comfortable it made our memories in Japan so much better. Downstairs is the kitchen, dining, living room, laundry, and plenty of space for 6 people to hang out. Upstairs was 3 seperate bedrooms and floor mattress style sleeping. It worked out very well as people could do their own thing but then hang out together downstairs. It was also super close to the bus stop and the train station so made traveling around a breeze! We had 3 adults and 3 young kids with us and it worked out great! I 100% recommend this to any other families traveling.

The washing machine was 200 yen per use, it would be nice if it was free.

Great Japanese style accommodation close to the main train station. The host was very helpful and the place was very clean. As a group of 7, we loved it.

Close by to the station and thr Aeon Mall, a quiet neighbourhood, close to bus stops that takes you basically anywhere, a nice cozy traditional place to stay. Beds on the floor were super comfy!

For tall people, you really need to watch your head when going through the house.

The sink in the second floor is tiny and hard to use. No soap on second floor either. Overall it was a great stay.

The location is near to Kyoto station

Overrated of 9.1 on booking.com, so I expected it will be a great stay. I booked for 3 nights but end up I only stayed 2 nights and I move to another hotel for better stay. So I burnt my 3rd night cost here. 1. The house isn’t that clean which is unusual in Japan. You can see the dust on the wall, ceiling and cabinet. 2. There is no flooring heater but only provide the portable gas heater for heat up the floor which is only can turn on for one hour. 3. bathroom and toilet area didn’t have enough warm, the floor is very cold. 4. The yellow light very dark, not enough bright 5. The worst is no people to welcome and explain how to turn on all the light, the heater and tv all. (Despite there are instruction written in the paper, but it’s very confusing explanation)There is no centralise suis for that but all in individual sius. This took us one to two hour to make it work.

Very convenient location with the traditional feel we were looking for!
