Friendly hostess fabulous view and calm

The road to the property was steep and bendy but we had a friendly taxi man who ferried us up and down

Gisela and her husband were wonderful with us, the place was very cosy and the view was incredible. It was rather quiet even though it is near Velas and everything important is within reach.

Absolutely stunning views from the apartment! Very spacious and had the amenities we wanted. The host Gisella was great with our check-in and check-out.

This is not the fault of the property - but the roads are the steep, so just be prepared for that if you're not used to it.

Gisele the owner was amazing, so friendly and helpful. The view from the house was outstanding.

Everything about this place is wonderful. It sits on a hill above the vila of Velas with beautiful views of Pico. Gisela is also a wonderful hostess, who makes sure you’re happy and have everything you need!

Loved the location and Gisela is an amazing host. She made the stay so enjoyable and easy. The views were amazing and the house was great. Clean, comfy, and beautifully designed.

We would have loved a couch or comfy seating on the first floor to enjoy the views from but still enjoyed them from the kitchen table.

Such a beautiful view! These are whole houses and that makes it so comfortable as a family. There is a bathtub, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine - everything really. The guest houses are located on the mountainside above Velas and off we stunning views over the ocean and the neighbouring Pico island. The host of these houses is the friendliest and most helpful lady ever. When asked for an extra heater, she went and got one immediately. She checked in on us a few times to make sure we were comfy and she was sweet and kind to our son.

Unfortunately, due to some very bad weather, the house was very cold. Maybe some extra heating options would be good. I think most people visit in summer anyway but something to consider. Also, small point, bathtub plug was missing.

Gisela met us at the port and we followed her back to the inn in our rental car. Super helpful because it would be hard to figure out how to get up there in the dark. Gisela is very kind and welcoming.
