Cosy country cottage with log fireplace and views

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was comfortable and clean. Everything for a lovely stay is provided. Beautiful scenery all around, enjoyed relaxing on the patio and watching the sheep. Nice welcome pack from the host. Would definitely recommend.

The water pump can get a little noisy.

The main road is very busy and noisy and near to the property, might not be good for visitors with young children. The step down from the bathroom needs highlighting as my 88 year old mum fell down it on the first night. The water pump is noisy when flushing the loo or showering. Not easy to get to walks without the car, the lane opposite had a locked gate.

It was very well stocked and clean. The cot was easy to put together and we had enough sheets etc, just in case. Also the views in the morning was absolutely gorgeous. It was quiet and generally pleasant area.

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like tbh, it was a perfect getaway for my first Mother’s Day.

Interesting and beautiful old cottage. Clean & well presented. Communication with owners was excellent. Views were beautiful. Property was warm and comfortable.

Although in a rural location there is a fast and reasonably busy road directly outside the windows at the front of the cottage. There is a railway a very short distance away at the back. Neither of these spoiled our stay but isn't a peaceful rural location although it makes it interesting in a good way.

Loved the cottage and the location! Good facilities and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the board games and stargazing at night. Only thing would be to mention the windows open fully on their vertical axis which made me anxious about small children potentially as they don’t lock.

Lovely cottage very comfortable and nice features. Unfortunately the kitchen floor was a bit sticky, there was dust on a lamp and we felt we had to vac a couple of carpets .There was an issue with the shower but we liaised with Carl and he was very helpful but there was plenty of hot water so baths were taken instead . We would still consider staying here again

Extremely close to a 60 zone road and getting in/out of the car space was very hairy.
