Barn Cottages at Lacock

The lovliest hosts, very beautiful surroundings, v cosy cottage, like a little home away from home. Super comfy bed/ just want u want when u are working away or visiting the area.

Location, convenient for intended purpose

Space saver staircase which was very steap and not mentioned. Dirty crockery + cutlery + grill pan. Host was away - cleaner clearly wasn't up to scratch.... - basically had to wash stuff before use!

Location was lovely, cottage was okay.

Overall cottage needed a good clean. There were cob webs (not recent) around the entire cottage, the sofas worn and stained, bedding and pillows in need of a refresh (duvet inner nearly non existent), and towels had a mouldy smell. There was also a previous customer’s towel behind our bedroom door. The stairs leading to the 2nd bedroom/ landing are very steep, and not suitable for elderly people (my mother in law joined us for the weekend), nor children. Appreciate some people have mentioned this before but wasn’t expecting as steep as they were. Overall just felt like the place needed some TLC. Could be lovely with a bit more attention to detail.

Comfortable cottages in a beautiful setting. Great location, quiet and secluded, yet close to amenities and transport links. Friendly and helpful hosts. Would definitely stay there again.

Met all of our needs. Location very good for us, needing to visit Swindon and also having a great day in Lacovk Abbey and Village Good parking Kitchen great

It would be good if the bathroom window is frosted rather than transparent

Very nice place to stay, and the host was really nice and had everything covered. My daughter loved the horses next door.

I liked everything. It was warm, clean and comfortable. The hosts had thought of everything to make my stay enjoyable.
