Dove House Cottages - No 1

This is a very nice accommodation, in a very quiet location close to Oxford. Each unit is a beautiful mini house. The view from the window!

With a bit of effort the owner can improve the experience: 1. The head shower was broken. 2. The chair was wobbly and almost broken and I almost fell of it. 3. There were some hairs on pillow. Not very nice. I added few photos that I took.

Functional, clean and quite cosy. Access to the city center by car is good.

We booked for three people. The third bed is just a sofa that folds down flat and wasn’t made up so we had to go and look for bedclothes and towels. The bathroom is an en-suite to the one upstairs bedroom so the third person has to go past those sleeping there. The door to the bathroom is translucent and has no noise barrier. There is a lot of road noise through the whole night which was a problem as the weather was very hot and we had to have the upstairs velux windows open. Some garden furniture at the back would be a great addition.

Quiet location with a local pub/restaurant within easy walking distance. Enough parking for one car and there was a bench to the front of the property on the patio area with pleasant views. Kitchen was supplied with ample facilities including cooking utensils and white goods. Tea, coffee, and sugar etc. was supplied, along wth washing up liquid and tablets for the washing machine.

TV remote battery cover kept falling off. There was a fan in a cupboard which would have been very useful in the hot weather but unfortunately it was broken. We would have liked furniture on the patio area to the rear so we could have sat out with drinks/snacks.

Beautiful property, thoughtfully furnished. Good location.

A few light bulbs out but otherwise great.
