The Old Post Office

It was absolutely perfect.

Gorgeous cosy place, lovely deep bath and comfy bed. Check in fuss free. Easy to eat well with the butchers and the Bridge Inn within stepping distance. We got parked near the pub so very easy walk to house. The walk to Whitby is lovely and you may get a visit by a steam train as they pass the trail. In Whitby itself, we’d recommend the Whitby brewery for a lovely IPA and a pizza with a view. It was a lovely oasis away from the blustery winds. Overall, a lovely toasty warm and comfy stay 😊

The wifi was not great so watching Netflix or Amazon (for the football) was not possible during our stay. I loved the fact I couldn’t use my phone as much and just chilled watching the tv, the husband was less happy about missing the football!!

It was a lovely house, very clean and modern, just what we needed , it was close to everything and also has a lovely little butchers over the road, which do lovely food. Will definitely be returning

Can’t be helped but very busy road outside , took quite some time to get the place warm when arriving at 4pm in January . Maybe a set timer so it’s warm on arrival for future guests .
