"Whitby holiday"

9.0

Great location and lovely spacious cottage. My teenagers had to draw straws for the attic room as they both really wanted it. 3 bathrooms were a real bonus with 2 teenagers in the house. Quiet location (except for the seagulls 😂) right in the middle of everything, thankful for the parking space too as it's tricky to park in Whitby and we didnt use the car at all for the week as theres so many things to see and do within walking distance. We had a regular visiting seagull we name Steven that taps on the kitchen window, can be annoying as it sounds like someone at the door but the kids found it hilarious We all had a great holiday here 😀

WiFi doesn't work and tv only has a few random channels that work not even your main bbc channels but it didn't bother us much as we had plenty of data on our devices to keep us occupied in the evenings. No instruction on waste disposal and dustbin was full on our arrival so we just had to leave bin bags in the bin shed as we didn't know where else to put them. We had to use back door as we used the parking space so therefore you can't enter the front door, the back door is difficult to open and close, you have to use a pull then push technique and I was worried the handle would come off as its very loose and it's a very old door.

Location was good

Some parts of the cottage could have been a little cleaner , was advertised as having Wi-Fi and we had none the full week we were there , which was a little disappointing when you have kids , not likely to return.

"Amazing place to stay"

9.0

The house and the location were amazing. A really comfortable place to stay.

Driving to get to the property is a bit hairy with very narrow roads, although the owner is helpful with the directions. Also make sure to take an eye mask as the curtains aren't very thick and the sun raise shines straight through.

Location, space and parking

It was cold, the underfloor heating wasn't on and the portable heaters did not heat the large open plan room quick enough Advertised with teabags, soap etc but only had 1 teabag and there wasn't soap in every bathroom. The door was difficult to unlock, got the hang of it just as we were leaving.

"A lovely house in the heart of Whitby"

8.0

The property is a 3 storey house. Large sitting area and large kitchen area. The bedrooms are of good size. Location is ace. and with parking for a car which is very handy. The area is quite quiet so can have a good night sleep. Kitchen is well equipped.

Wondering whether this could be a cold property in winter. I had to use one of the heater in the evenings during our stay. The car parking is tight and is only suitable for a small car.
