Host & Stay - 11 Bakehouse Yard

Very nice apartment finished to a very good standard. Ideal position and comfortable.

Problem with parking in zone W no spaces available, Goth Weekend. We had to park near the Royal Hotel. With the parking card from the property displayed in the windscreen but we returned to find we had a parking fine.

The host has taken the time to think of everything that a guest might want, down to the umbrella by the door. As a couple staying the cottage was perfect in every way. We will 100% book again! I would suggest that it might be difficult for young children under 8 with the stairs.

The parking was a bit of an issue, but nothing to make us overly worried!

11 Bakehouse Yard is an exceptional property. We stayed, 4 nights with our two grandchildren, aged 14 & 11 and they loved it. The place is decorated and furnished beautifully. Spotlessly clean and well equipped.

Parking was a little problematic for us. We are both in our early 70s now. I personally have mobility issues and not being able to park nearby was a major concern for me. We ended up having to park up a steep hill a few streets up from the accommodation, which wasn’t great…

Sauber, durchdacht, modern, 4 Fernseher, tolle stabile Betten, Küche mehr als ausgestattet. Süßes welcoming. Waschmaschine top.Lage in der Seitenstraße direkt im Ort. Insgesamt ruhige Ecke.

Etwas muffig, da ein altes Gebäude. Muss man halt öfter mal lüften. Parkplatz knapp- aber absolut machbar. Parktickets Zone W im Appartment.

The property was centrally located and within a short walking distance of all Whitby’s amenities It was spacious and was very comfortable

Obviously there isn’t any parking due to its location. However when I enquired I was told that they no longer provided scratch off parking permits so we pre paid for 3 days parking to save having to do it every day. Only to find when we got to the property there were 3 days scratch cards to use. I wouldn’t have minded if I hadn’t enquired previously and been told they didn’t provide them. Some how this information hasn’t been updated

very clean and modern cottage with all facilitys, the only thing was the seating, 3 barstools on the dining area where the cottage is for four people so one need to eat in the sofa, the cottage has a good location only not for those with mobility problems, we had a horrendous amouth if steps to drag our luggage to the cottage, enter it from the other side next to the pub still gives one step to use and it was hard for us with mobility issues but I proberly had to look in to this better when I booked, we had the room with a double bed it could do with a bit more or higher wardrobe space also in the kitchen we missed storage space to putt our shoppings in. the bedroom is a nice large room with a soft mattress, there was a welcome packadge with some lovely items, we did miss the parking license it was hidden under a bag from our geusts, hadn't seen them so we had to pay a large amouth on parking, fantastic shower, bath I couldn't use because there was always someone who needed a toilet, would be great when you are only there as couple, nice soft carpets upstairs it's a very luxery cottage

storage space and seating area, I don't like it someone can't sit around the table when you want eat together, I didn't like it we did enter the cottage from the wrong site and we had many steps to do, it's not a cottage you can use with mobility problems, but we still had a nice stay

Stairs to the bedrooms/bathroom/toilet are very steep ,handrail falls short of the top three steps ,could do with handrail on the top wall ,we actually cut our stay short by three nights for this reason
