"Lovely property; would definitely visit again!"

9.0

We really liked the location. It was great to walk around the nearby abandoned slate quarry and see all the old ruins so close to where we were staying. It was also within a very short drive of a Co-Op that was open from 6am to 11pm every day, so we could go there for food when we didn't want to go out to eat. Inside, the sofas were very comfortable, there was a great selection of reading, DVDs, and brochures. All essentials were supplied (pots, pans, cooking oil, dish cloth, sponge, towels, shampoo and soap) and the bathroom was really modern. The garden out the back was also very nice to look at, but given we visited in February, we didn't really use it. On the other hand, the car parking space out the front was very much appreciated!

There wasn't anything we specifically didn't like, but there were a couple things that we thought could be added to elevate the experience even further. I suggested to the owner perhaps adding an outdoor light, as it was a little tricky to see all the steps up from the car parking space. The flooring upstairs looked like the original hardwood floors, and although looked great, and I'm sure is the easiest option with a pet-friendly place, it was a little uncomfortable for my feet (I would recommend packing slippers). Finally, a little pair of cooking tongs would be great, as it looks like others may have used forks for cooking, and this has scratched the frying pan. The spatula was great, and we definitely made use of this, but tongs would be a wonderful addition too!

"Great base to explore Snowdonia."

Location & space

Next door neighbour kept a significant number of dogs locked outside in filthy cages. Dogs were distressed, crying, howling & barking which in turn distressed my dogs, which at times prevented them from wanting to go outside. Dogs may be kept outside sometimes in the country (so I am told) but not in those conditions. Neighbour is a clear hoarder and although I appreciate there is little the owner can do to address this, they could take the necessary steps to report this issue to authorities. That for me let the whole thing down.

"Surrounded by the best exploring experiences North Wales has to offer!"

9.0

This well situated cottage is a stones throw away from Snowdonia, white sandy beaches, spectacular gardens, historic castles, and quaint towns…in fact there is something to interest anyone who chooses to stay here within 360° radius! We enjoyed a lovely stay with a warm welcome on arrival, comfortable and warm surroundings and a cosy roaring fire for our final and wettest day of our stay. Totally recommend the cottage, the location and our very kind host Jim to anyone who wants to experience all the wild and beautiful landscapes in this part of north Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 ❤️

"Good stay in cosy house in Snowdonia"

7.0

The house is very cosy, warm and complete. The host is communicating very well. Chocolate cake on arrival was very nice! Driving distance to Snowdon, nice villages and walks is very short.

The shower curtain is situated too close to the bath. The mess in the neighbors garden is difficult to ignore. The view can only be seen from the bedroom.

It was lovely we really enjoyed it. The bedroom and living room were very spacious. It was also clean and tidy. The owner very friendly and kept in contact.

The dogs next door kept barking, which isn't the owners fault. But it did effect our stay. Also could do with a new sofa.

"Nice cottage well placed to explore Snowden"

7.0

Location was good, bed was comfortable, getting the key was very easy, parking wasn’t as difficult as people said, house was warm, kitchen had everything you could need.

Shower was tight and curtain kept sticking to my body, screws were coming up out of the floor and I kept stepping on them, the furniture feels tired.
