South View - 3 bed modern Chester house - Close to city centre

Lovely bathroom. Huge cubicle shower and large bath. Well provisioned throughout and great value. Beautiful area.

Location good and street quiet

We had to wash up all cooking eqpt before use, covered in grease. No oven gloves/tea towel. Oven poor, set to max and still took ages. Heating instructions not accurate as boiler was set to timer. Not enough cutlery for 5 of us so definitely not enough for the 6 person maximum. Plug did not fit sink properly, thank god for the dishwasher. Bathroom not the cleanest.

Location was excellent. Plenty of space inside. Lovely outdoor space.

Just had abit of wear and tear throughout the property. Maybe a new downstairs bed.

It was a good location , nice and warm and had a back yard that was great to let the dog out .

The decor was nice but needed re-freshing in all the rooms. It wasn’t cleaned to a good standard. The beds and furnishings need replacing with new they were old and worn .

The property is in a good location, walking distance to the town. Easy access and check in.

The property was definitely in need of a good clean and some TLC - not what I was expecting from the photos. Dusty cobwebs hanging from the lights, food marks on the walls and on the floor, damp on the walls in the downstairs bedroom etc. We also found a pile of black hairs (no guest in our party had black hair) in one of the beds. We also found that one of the beds was broken at the bottom.

Great place to stay for the weekend. Conveniently located to the city centre, yet quiet. The house has 3 great sized bedrooms, tasteful bathroom with a great shower. Although we didn’t cook anything the kitchen has everything you need if you wanted to. The hosts were helpful with all the information we needed. Couldn’t fault our trip at all.

There was nothing we didn’t like at all. Parking isn’t the best but we did find a spot and you can park outside for a short time to load/unload, so not a negative, just an extra heads up.

Location was good 5 minutes to racecourse little problems sorted within an hour

Free Parking was a little difficult but did find spot but there's a paid car park within 5 minutes

Stayed Christmas 2024. The attention and response of the host was exceptionally prompt, helpful and considerate. Example only: sourced and installed a little Christmas tree for our stay squeezing that in between the previous guests and our arrival. Wonderfully located for access on foot to Chester's city walls and via the city wall to the heart of the city centre 5 minutes (or 10 minutes taking it really slowly). It was warm and well appointed.

Tiny points - the plug in the bathroom basin missing (although the bathroom was exceptionally attractive); maybe a touch of paint at some places, the decor itself being good; one bed was perhaps not the most comfortable.
