Quiet and peaceful

Bit far out of town but we knew that.

Nice house in quiet area, safe, about 5 mins drive from Dunedin central,had everything needed for pleasant stay, host was really pleasant with access instructions. Shower,bathroom and water heating all fine,nice place.

Would have liked to use the woodheater-couldnt see if allowed in instructions and it was all clean and no logs around so didnt use. The TV remote volume-raising confounded me, could not work out how to raise the volume, Small TVs in bedrooms could be good for families with teenagers wanting own space ? Supermarket not close-10 min drive.

The house is spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed, from kitchen implements to towels and toilet rolls. It was a bonus to use the washing machine in the basement and hang washing outdoors on a rotary line (dryer was available too). Welcome messages received from Tim via WhatsApp as we didn't have NZ number.

The house is cold and dark, surrounded by trees. No outdoor seating. It also needs some tlc: freshen up the paintwork, get new crockery (to replace chipped plates and scratched/stained mugs). Mow the back lawn, repair dangerously broken back step, clear piles of dead brushwood from driveway. Replace stove that has worn chrome. Replace fridge that has dented door and broken shelf in door. Put some pictures on the living room walls. For us it didn't feel homely or well cared for or welcoming.

The property is very secluded/ extremely quiet location and maximum 7/10 minutes from any attractions in Dunedin Ill be staying again

Only issue is steep drive however ample parking up at entrance sp really its not an issue

Excellent from every aspect. No words to describe my satisfaction. Highly recommended!
