Blue Sky Cottage

The location wasn't ideal for us. There's Alot of people walking right by the living room window & bedroom. Which was really noisy at times BUT it was the heatwave and All the windows Wide Open 🥵 the cottage itself is lovely & cosy.

Really cosy little cottage, ideal for 2. Tastefully decorated and good bathroom. Central, easy to walk to town, but tucked away, so not on the busy road. Close to excellent pub (Red Lion). Shop and Fish bar close by.

Car parking space is tight, but good to have it available. We managed to get an Astra estate in. To be aware, stairs are steep.

Superb bathroom. Cottage very well equipped. Bed was very comfortable.

Stairs a little steep but manageable with care. Central heating controls weren’t very user friendly.

Convenient for dog walking, town centre. Clean lovely shower, comfy bed.

Just note if mobility issues stairs are a bit challenging but worth it.

The location was fantastic, so convenient to walk to the park within a couple of minutes and then within 5 minutes actually be on a trail in the peak district national park. Also the local Red Lion Pub was very good serving good food at a reasonable price.

More information about the parking in terms of the best way to approach the cottage to get to the parking spot (maybe use What Three Words app). Also it is only really suitable for a small car. Which we had, so it was fine, but a little more information would have made it more straight forward. An outside light in the back yard would be useful.
