Mokulē'ia Beach Houses at Owen's Retreat

we loved the location and size of the property. it was a very beautiful location

The property is in need of maintenance and some tlc. We have traveled many places and the holiday homes that really shine are the ones with the attention to detail. No soap in the bathroom, no sugar or condiments for cooking, no pan to cook in all these things were below our expectations.

location is unbeatable. the privacy is wonderful.

amenities & appliances could be improved.

The hosts were super friendly and personable. They were available if needed but did not bother or intrude on our time in any way. Overall our stay was fabulous and will definitely recommend to anyone planning a visit to the island.

The location was the best part of this property because it was just feet from the ocean and my family especially enjoyed the snorkeling and lack of overcrowding there. The porch was very nice and I even slept out there several nights. My family enjoyed the beds which were comfortable.

The biggest issue for me was the cost versus value of the unit. The kitchen equipment especially the knives was not at all up to par, (very dull and falling apart). It seemed like all the furnishings were mismatched or bought used at different places. I would not have been bothered by this had the cost of the unit been more reasonable. I realize about half of the cost was taxes and cleaning fees, even when we were expected to do most of the cleaning. That was true of other places we stayed in Hawaii too but this place was still way more expensive.

Very close to the beach, private, and peaceful!

Only one burner on the on the stove worked.

It was clean and staff was great.

It was truly bare minimum.

It’s a really unique and exceptionally beautiful property.
