The Gin Palace with seasonal swimming pool

Good view and very cosy , we loved the log burner and the cosy vintage style

such a perfect getaway for my partner and i. such a cosy place with pretty sites not too far away. john was so accommodating and loved meeting the various animals around the properties.

nothing we didn’t like but wish we had personally planned a little more for the kitchenette but luckily kettle, microwave and bbq were more than adequate for our 3 nights!

We loved how peaceful it was, all facilities were great and everything we needed. The host was great and welcoming from start to finish and allowing us a late check in time. It was lovely and cosy. We enjoyed the pool and the scenery everyday and the public footpaths around the fields. The log burner was great fun as it was our first time using one.

Nothing, too concerned about the weird fascination the owner john had with my son, didn’t leave us alone Kept making weird jokes and suggestions hung around the pool a lot, even tried calling me when we left He then got the hump and sent this weird text as you can see in the photo , the guy is weird, the place was dirty Substandard , wouldn’t recommend guys Plenty of decent places to stay in the area Just not here

Being made to feel uncomfortable and not left alone Check out all the negative feedback , you’ll be able to see exactly how he replies to all of the past visitors With his weird comments , which I guarantee 99% are made up, just because they didn’t like his little cottage Can’t wait to see what he replie is to this

It was a unique property on glorious grounds the best view by far… the owner was very helpful full of amazing information

Nothing it was perfect

Loved everything about our stay at the Gin Palace. We found ourselves in an outstanding setting, with a sparkling clean pool to take a refreshing dip in the day and a lovely log burner to curl up in front of with a glass of wine in the evening before falling into the comfiest bed. John was a great host. His recommendations for the local eateries were spot on. A lovely, peaceful corner of the world, we hope to return to soon!
