Lovely fires, very clean. Fantastic hot tub

This log cabin exceeded our expectations! It was very unique and serviced 6 people exceptionally well. Our hosts thought of everything down to the home made crumpets for breakfast. We loved everything this home offered.

Our stay could have been longer and despite the cloud covering the mountain it didn't detract from the amazing view.

very lovely house. Beds were so very comfortable. Kids really enjoyed the pool table. Location was amazing with a 15mins drive to a nearby town for food and groceries.

We originally went for 1 night and ended up staying 3!! That says it all! Our hosts were just gems. Fresh homemade crumpets in the fridge added to the magic. The spa was divine, the view stunning, the place incredible. THANK YOU!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Ruapehu Lodge! The home itself was wonderful – comfortable, well-equipped, and perfect for our needs. We truly appreciated the amenities and had a relaxing time. The highlight was undoubtedly the **delicious homemade jams** for sale – we bought every jar and loved them

Unauthorised Entry: The owner entered the property without our knowledge or prior notice while we were out. We returned to find that items had been moved around this was confirmed when the husband came up (to check chlorine and firewood)and told us his wife had been up the day this happened, it felt like an invasion of our privacy during a rental period, the lack of advance communication to let us know someone would be entering made the rest of the stay feel uneasy. Simple messages beforehand would have made these interactions feel respectful.

What a unique place to stay! Loved our night in this log lodge - only let down was wishing we stayed longer to get more use from it. Such a unique and interesting property - very big and comfortable - would be great for a large group (almost too big for just 3 of us!) with a number of different living spaces. Loved all the different seating areas and nooks. Very much appreciated the fire running when we arrived. It did get quite cold overnight so would suggest keeping the fire running or using the heaters. The view in the morning and having a coffee out on the balcony was spectacular - as were the homemade crumpets and jam that we had for breakfast. It had everything you would need for a big group - ample crockery, cooking equipment and pantry staples. Definitely recommend stay here.

Nothing - loved it. More things to be aware of - all the beds are upstairs via 2 staircases which may be a little tricky for anyone with mobility issues. There are 2 individual bedrooms in rooms (one with ensuite through a little study) - the rest are in a large communal area but well separated and private with curtains.

Fire was lit when we arrived and lights were on, was easy to find and such a great place to stay! Can't recommend it enough and if we are ever back over here we will book again!
